We had our group (14) night out here and were well looked after. The food was excellent, arrived hot & good portion size. An added bonus was the lovely cocktails on offer.Toilets were palatial, the nicest I've visited since the Balmoral hotel!

We went as a party of 4 to celebrate mum's /granny's birthday, the staff from the start were very attentive. One in our party is coeliac and so requires a gluten free menu. Our server took the time to explain the options available which is a welcome change from some restaurants. All ordered 3 courses and all plates were empty after every course, absolutely no complaints on the standard of food provided, all in all a very enjoyable experience and would not hesitate to recommend. Delivery service from this place is nothing short of a joke. Don't think in the last year we have had a Delivery from them that's been anything less than an hour and a half late. So that's over the 40 minutes to an hour that your told in the first place.Foods fairly decent but they constantly just lie on the phone "it will be leaving in 5 minutes"......50 minutes later still nothing.I would advise to pay in cash so you can send it back with the delivery driver and you've not wasted your hard earned money

Worst experience at a restaurant I’ve had in Scotland. Booked a table for 1:45, arrive at 1:40, but table wasn’t ready till 2pm, they had us stand by the till for 20 minutes, what’s the point of booking then. Also it took ages for them to prepare food, I was timing it, because it took so long, at the end it took 90 minutes from the moment we arrived till I got my food served. Not just that, they’ve forgotten a few things from the order, but the worst part was, to my surprise when we asked for the bill, the waiter had added 10 percent tip(hand written) before even bringing it to the table. Not sure what made them think their service was worth tipping. I didn’t complain much at the time, because I was invited to someone birthday, and dinner want to ruin the party, but I don’t think I will ever go back here.

Ordered a pizza and pasta on Saturday night, waited over an hour and a half for my delivery to come, they sent the wrong pizza, ordered a cheese and tomato pizza it came with fish onions and peppers on it. I then called back to tell them they said they would get another one sent out 9pm came still no pizza (placed my original order at 5.30pm) I called back to ask for a refund was told a driver would drop this off never happened.. called back again on Sunday to ask about my refund was told it would be Monday a manager would be in touch.. it’s now Thursday still no call or refund paid £26.00 for a pizza I didn’t get and a pasta that was bland and I could of made in my own house for a couple pound. Absolutely shocking service.

Under no circumstances ever trust this place for delivery!I understand that in military circles, there is a phrase to the effect that "amatuers talk about tactics: professionals talk about logistics". Perhaps the Cavaliere should reflect on this.They are genuinely capable of producing some of the most amazing Italian food south of Edinburgh (I'm being serious) but the delivery service is absolutely pathetic (based upon multiple experiences, but tonight took the biscuit). Waited ages after the website told me that my order was on its way and, ended up having a quite awful conversation with a staff member who hung up on me - and then I called them back to cancel.To be absolutely fair to them, they did say that if the pizzas were cold, they would remake and redeliver. Unfortunately, having worked briefly in the food service industry, once I complain about food, I walk... forever. Sorry Cavaliere!

It is the second time that we as a family of 12 have been there for dinner. Absolutely great Restaurant in all aspects, 5 Star we give them.Parking: Dalkeith main road.Kid-friendliness: All staff are very friendly,Wheelchair accessibility: Good.
It was lovely not just the food but the company. My youngest son was visiting and took my oldest son and daughter in law and myself for a meal. It was lovely and the staff are excellent. Can certainly recommendVegetarian options: My youngest son has been vegetarian for 35 years and he certainly enjoyed his selection.

Good was good but despite plenty of staff and them not being busy it took a long time to see anyone after we were seated and also quite long to get the check and subsequently pay. I try to be understanding as I know there is more to serving than just what you see but overall we felt ignored by the wait staff. Food was quite good though.

A very enjoyable dining experience. Friendly staff, especially Ricardo (Ricci).A varied, mouthwatering menu. We each had risotto - seafood risotto and one with king prawns and a creamy sauce. Hour and a half for a delivery Sent me a small amount of kebab meat and a 2 pitta breads no sauce or salad and missing desert took 1 look at the box had a look inside and handed it back lucky I never paid them any money at the door , phoned them up offering to send a kebab up in 5 min but took them hour and a half for the first delivery u know where u can stick it drive to chips shop round corner was served in 5 minFirst time I ordered from there and will be the last
