Worst fish and chips in my 38 years of living!!They were over priced, didn't take down our order properly, so we ended up having 3 meals missing, the portions were disgraceful! Below kiddie portions and the fish was horrible and cheap. If this is what Scotland has to offer, then I'll stick with London. The customer service was a dIsgrace too. The woman tried to make out it was our mistake that the order was wrong even though we repeated it to her TWICE.NEVER AGAIN!!! My advice to tou is stay at home and fry tour own Mc Cain Chips. You get more out of the packet!!

Horrible tasting food. We were visiting Dingwall from Canada and was looking forward to tasting fish and chips from a takeaway place. Absolutely disgusting and fish was probably sitting for long. Dry!

Was asked if I would like salad with my vegie burger, "yes please" one tiny lettuce leaf and one slice of transparent tomato, biggest food insult ever, everything was greasy.

Diners in Dingwall aren’t exactly spoiled for choice. This is the sort of sleepy town where ambition comes to die, and they leave the Christmas decorations up all year round. So I was reassured when I saw a queue of locals snaking out the door of this place, which was doing a roaring trade. Appearances can be deceptive. The chips were good, and the fish was cooked nicely, but the dense coating was more tempur mattress than tempura batter. A centimetre thick in places, it wasn’t fit for a dog. I picked it off and abandoned it. Just before I abandoned Dingwall: hopefully never to return.

I’ve had some good fish suppers here but today the fish had been sitting and the cops weren’t fresh either. Expensive dog food I’m afraid

I ordered a haggis supper. A pre-cooked haggis was taken from the top of the range and microwaved then deep fried - the batter was like shoe leather and the haggis was extremely dry. I never like to waste food, but I didn't finish it. Chips were okay. Overall a pretty poor experience - I wouldn't go back.

The Servers were extremely rude and gave me a bad expierence. not a good atmosphere to be in. the chips are half raw.

Local to the area a short drive away. Been a customer for many many years with no issues and usually swear by the place, hadn't actually been for a few months as i hadn't been through that way and decided to stop in on a drive home to feed myself and kids while the husband went on a night out . Got home to open the food for my kids to complain there was only 2 nuggets in a kids meal (i won't get into it with the state of the chips I'll just leave a photo as it was dry and inedible) both boxes had the same so i phoned to find out if the portion had changed as i believed it to be more. Spoke to the same lassie who had served us and she confirmed there was to be 3 in the box and offered me to go through but had to be in 15mins as they were closing. I advised it wasn't possible as i live 10 mins away (and didn't say this but lets face it im not making a drive back for 2 nuggets, the call itself was more so i don't make the mistake of ordering again in future ) she then hummed over the phone to then say to me well im not sure what you want me to do, no 'im sorry that happened' or anything like it. Eyebrows raised at the tone she used I said oh ok, bye and hung up. Conversation done or so i thought and i didn't think it was unfair of me to note it since i didn't ask for anything back from them or verbally abuse the girl etc i was hardly trying to pull a fast one over 2 missing nuggets! the conversation was over quickly no squabble either side, figured this was the end of it obviously, nothing more to be said. 1 minute later i get a call back from the owner where he calls me a liar. He cooked it (true) and bagged it (lie! that he backed down on when i said not true) and 100% adamant there was definitely 3 there and he should know, taken aback that he would call me back over 2 nuggets to accuse me of lying where i haven't asked for anything back at all, i assured him there definitely was not and that both of my children could tell him this too.. He told me he doesn't need witnesses because he knows it. Clearly something went wrong between cooking and bagging but he stuck to his guns and kept repeating himself, i honestly could not believe the audacity of someone to call back a customer that had the food in front of them, which was most definitely not up to the usual standard i would normally associate them with just to call them a liar, zero need. He got shouted at down the phone by the end of the call and since he gave such a ridiculous call over something i let go off and is in my opinion not worth the argument he phoned to have, he got told what he was and told where he can go in a non polite manner and this is why this review is being written. Not because of 2 missing nuggets but very much because of his bad behaviour and ridiculous attitude towards a family that has spent alot of money at his establishment for many years! Disgusting and unnecessary! Obviously we will never be back and spreading the word to save people the trouble of dealing with this fool!
