Dined at The Brae last night, great food, beautiful atmosphere and even made us laugh when my mum poured her steak pie onto her plate without removing her napkin. Service fantastic and staff replaced her meal with no fuss.Would recommend to all.

I phoned an asking do you do special discount for parties was told no as you get 2-for1 . I said is it o. A Wednesday and was told it’s all week. Hearing this I said to the person that great. I’ll booking it for Wednesday night .lovely staff meal Good lovely atmosphere. Went to pay17adults3 children under 3 I had taken money and as everyone was driving no alcohol i thought I had enough when I went to desk I had to transfer money from one place to another I had taken £400 pounds and was not enough. I was shocked . Couple days later I phoned asked for manager explaining everything to which was told the don’t do 2 for 1 they have a burger night that’s it .I told him that I asked before booking and was told I don’t no how . No apologies or anything was very disappointing to say the least. I could have booked other places but as family has always enjoyed it there and it was a special occasion . I was treating the family .Sorry but will think again before booking.

I love this place. Always attend the quiz night and have a meal in the restaurant first. However I have to say the manager on my last visit was very rude, gave our booth to another group of people. Even tho you can pre request the seats. That was really NOT the issue it was his manner, arguing with us, loudly In front of a busy restaurant. I was shocked to learn he was the manager. Do yourself a favour and get someone that deserves to be in this position.. because the braes is a brilliant place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere ..

Went with a few good friend waited for at least 20mins before we had to go get our own menus, then failed to come get our order and had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. Meal was good but the service is really really bad. Won’t recommend anyone to go there unfortunately.
