Beautiful cafe tucked in the corner of bustling Dumfries. If you are looking for a lively yet peaceful place pop in for a coffee or some delicious local food, this is the spot to consider. I got the pulled pork ciabatta with a side of salad. Would recommend.

Ideal spot for a coffee and gluten free brownie this morning. Comfy seating available to feed my baby, good tunes for a solo bit of peace. ?

The café which is located in the centre of the town has a very random interior look about it. An eclectic mix of furnishings and similarly mixed crockery - perhaps a garage sale design. It wasn’t overly warm either on my visit during November 2023 and I kept my jacket on for much of the duration. That said, staff were pleasant and, although the service was slow (for which I received an apology), when the food arrived it was nice enough and good value. I had a salmon and cream cheese bagel which came along with a salad garnish and some crisps all served upon a slate (£7.50). I had a regular cup of Americano coffee (£2.60) which was nice but was almost finished by the time the food arrived. It was fairly busy at the time with sit-in and takeaway custom so they must be popular but based on my experience it may be the price which is the driving factor . Personally I wouldn’t be likely to revisit or to recommend for sit-in purposes.

Popped in for a spot of lunch today and had the festive sandwich which was delicious. Ciabatta with turkey, chipolatas, stuffing and cranberry sauce. The rest of the menu looks lovely, will definitely be back.

Great service, great food. One of my favourite places to eat. Loved the sausages in my breakfast roll

Amazing cakes, phenomenal sandwiches.

Great place however a couple came in with a puppy and let it jump up on table and let it sit on couch, not the shop owners fault but maybe try and gently tell those ignorant customers that although their dog is cute it is not acceptable to allow animals to behave like humans.

Best cafe by far in Dumfries, for breakfast, coffee or lunch. Lovely food, a warm welcome and great atmosphere. Central location and dog friendly too!
