We got a carry out with friends, it was disgusting, this takeaway used to be one of the best. Awful won't be back wish we had went to the greedy coo. Lesson learned.

Totally the best Indian takeaway in Dumfries in my opinion. The Lamb Dhansak is out of this world....

Ordered Chicken Tikka main, what I received was a few small pieces of black chicken with fried onions in a tray swimming in grease. Disgusting.

Very disapointing Chicken tikka masala one very large carton of sauce with only 4 pieces of chicken, sauce tastless very little spice in it. Definitely not worth £8.70. Nan Bread cold and doughy.Won't be using again.

Tikka chasni had 6 tiny pieces of chicken, just a big tray of sauce. Garlic naan had no garlic, poppadoms were soggy and the daal was like water. We used to love this place, won't be back, plenty of competition in Dumfries to be serving food like this.
Recommended by parents, this certainly did not disappoint. Lovely Tika masala. Nice and light. Will definitely be back

Just moved to Dumfries and my mum and I really like Indian takeaways, so we decided to give taste of bengal a go as the first takeaway to try since moving here. Ordered at 6.45pm and was told it’d be 45-60 mins delivery. Got an estimated delivery time of between 7.40-8pm. Got to 8.20pm and still no food. My mum decided to call the takeaway to see what was going on, only for the guy on the phone to be completely dismissive, claiming it normally always takes this long for deliveries!? Said it was with the driver now and wouldn’t be long. Got to 8.45pm and still no food! My mum rang again, only to have the phone be put down on her. She rang once again, asking where the food was, the guy tried to tell us it had already been delivered. Put us on hold to ring the driver. Food eventually arrived around 5 mins later, 2 hours after we had ordered. Food was cold and therefore the food wasn’t nice, and the service was just shocking. Will definitely not be ordering from here again.

Delicious food - especially the chicken chaat. The special for two was an absolute steal at £20 and was ready in twenty five minutes. Really pleasant staff. Highly recommend.
