Here at my favourite restaurant on the East Coast. Lentil soup to start, steak pie for my main. Service, food and atmosphere excellent as ever. Well worth a longer drive.

If i could give no stars i would. Walked in to ask about getting a table for 2 to be greeted with "We are shut" no hello or anything. Would maybe suggest you have a look at the way you talk to people.E.g "Hi, So sorry but we are unfortunately closing" might have been a better way to word it. ?

We had a really great experience at the Black Agnes. We arrived on our way up to Dundee and had our little dog and two children with us. The staff were really friendly and accommodating with us. We sat on a table near the back and recieving excellent service. My wife had the stake and Ale Pie which was really good wholesome homemade food really well cooked. I had the scampi as I was in a seaside town. Again it was really well cooked and tasty. Our daughter's had sausage and chips and fish and chips of the kids menu.Food was reasonably priced. All the locals were really friendly too and made us feel welcome. We will definitely stop in again on our next visit to Scotland.Dietary restrictions: Accommodating as you would expect with options on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Our two young daughters were made to feel very welcome. The menu was great for them and reasonably priced especially considering the bowls of ice cream were twice as big as they get at home.

Lovely Sunday lunch here. Food very good but plates are roasted under a grill before serving. Delicious sponge and custard for pudding. Very good service from friendly waitress.

We are staying in an Airbnb at the harbour and had a meal in this tiny wee restaurant tonight. I have coeliac disease so have to feel really confident that the staff understand not just gluten free ingredients, but also cross contamination. I chose the homemade burger, no bun by choice, fries, onion rings, salad and salsa. It was fantastic. Great value for money. Lovely lady serving us who was just stepping in as the usual waitress was off this weekend. Definitely one to revisit on our next visit.
