The staff are amazing! Especially the 2 staff members who made secret plans with my family members to bring out a birthday cake during my birthday lunch! ? ? I think they were called Adam and Amy and they were absolutely lovely. It was a nice, chill environment for a small lunch, I didn't want anything big for my birthday so it was perfect. Love the jukebox. Unfortunately, the food at the Nether does let it down as many items on the menu were out of stock and the food itself was mediocre at best, it didn't match up with quality of the well made cocktails and fantastic customer service. Thank you for a memorable day. The Nether has always been a favourite of mine for the past 10 years and will continue to be so.Vegetarian options: There was a good number of veggie options.

It seemed very understaffed. The guy behind the bar was doing his best, but they should have had a few more people with him. I saw several people leave after not being served for ages. Even with the student discounts it's not worth it on a Friday or Saturday night.

Great bar atmosphere, food of great standard, would recommend for food during day as the later it gets the more busy the bar becomes, pretty central location is handy to get to.

Only went to reminisce about our student days. Will not be back ? Edited to add that we won't be back because we are now in our 40s - I feel bad now because there was nothing wrong with the pub itself. Its for students and a younger crowd, it was just as busy as it has always been.
