Not bad:)

Nice hotel a couple of miles outside Dunfermline, the service was good but I think they were short staffed. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but breakfast was very good though a bit chaotic, again I think this was due to short staffed. The leisure centre was very nice and comfortable with a decent pool. Would be happy to return if visiting Dunfermline again.

Staying at the Lighthouse View Inn was a beacon of comfort and hospitality. The inn's proximity to the historic lighthouse was a unique and charming feature. Our room was cozy, and we could even see the lighthouse from our window. The innkeeper's warm welcome and homemade breakfast made us feel right at home. Exploring the rugged coastline was a highlight of our trip. A true coastal gem.

Rooms are ok. Staff are not interested in the quality of their service, or in the guests. The lady at the check in did not look at us once, was very uncommunicative bordering on rude, asked us to fill out a personal particulars form with information we had already provided via the internet check in, and when we pointed that out put on an irritated face and took a lot of time to find that info. At breakfast, when asking for tea after having to search for a staff member in the kitchen, the lady responded by suggesting we should have asked the person who “checked us in” to the breakfast room. Since there had not been any staff in the room when we arrived or any time thereafter, I suggested she talk to her colleagues about that, not to me. She shrugged without saying anything. The continental breakfast buffet did not contain about half of the items described in the menu. When we asked for yoghurt, the answer was “there is plenty of cheese”. Not an experience to be repeated, the quality offered does not meet any reasonable expectations, let alone those based on the price charged.

Really disappointed! We booked over 20 rooms for guests to stay following our wedding at a local venue in July. They cancelled all our bookings due to a 'corporate contract'. Sent an email rather than calling us which is very impersonal. This was the 2nd hotel we had to go to due to airth Castle closing, now we need to find a 3rd hotel last minute and struggling to find one that will accomodate us. We had already booked a bus there and back which now having to change. We have been offered no compensation for cancellation. Clearly they value money more than loyalty and customer service. They now have a very poor reputation locally and in the 'wedding world'. Will not be recommending to family/friends who wish to stay in the area again.

Had a room Booked here for July for a wedding and haven’t even had the decency to email us and tell us they are closed for four months because of a “government contract” we had to find out today on facebook when i did phone they played pass the parcel with the phone all scurrying away to avoid a confrontational conversations. Safe to say I’m still waiting on “management” calling me back!!

We have stayed at the BW Keavil House Hotel several times now, the last few years we have celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Always receive a warm & friendly welcome upon arrival. Staff cannot do enough for us. Every time we think our last stay cannot be outdone, they exceed it. The food is some of the most delicious meals we have ever had. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, especially if you want to celebrate a special occasion.

My partner & I stayed over the weekend 28th,29th and left on Sunday morning, the 30th of April 23. We were attending a wedding which was brilliant & everyone had a good time. The room we had was nice & clean, but we couldn't see what made our room an executive room, which I presume may be of a higher cost?On Friday night, 20 of the wedding party booked a large table for dinner, my partner had the fish & I had beef burginon. My meal was quite salty, so I left half of it. I was going to mention this but was sidetracked because my partner became ill. My partner said her meal was fine & had nothing to do with her illness. The wedding food was OK, but drinks can be a bit on the high side. The Leasure facilities were great & all the staff were excellent. The grounds are quite nice & we enjoyed a walk. There is a smashing local bakery just outside of the hotel, I recommend giving that a visit. We did and brought back some goodies for home.

Was looking forward to this stay - for three nights, travelling from Kent for a long awaited wedding, however 5-6 weeks before our stay we were unceremoniously told to rebook somewhere else as they had cancelled our booking , they had a government contract taking over the whole hotel for months apparently!!!!! Words fail me - we booked months ago and now have to scrabble around and find another place to stay - not our lovely four poster and pool / spa that we were looking forward to…. Good for them with lots of money coming in….. bad for us …….was so livid when I telephoned to clarify the situation that I dropped my lunch in my lap!!!!Noteworthy details: Never really got to see it!!!!!

Really looking forward to having a relaxing stay whilst my partner and I run the Edinburgh marathon, especially having use of the pool and other facilities. 23 days before our stay, the hotel informed me that the booking would need to be cancelled. Apparently a corporate event was more important than us. Won't be booking again, mainly because I probably won't be in Dunfermline again for a while, and when I book a non-refundable room, I expect it to honoured. Now I have to seek accomodation last minute before the big event nearby. Thanks again.

As with the previous message we have now found out that my brothers wedding has been cancelled! The hotel hasn’t even had the decency to email us yet, we have had to find out indirectly! I called reception who have confirmed the hotel will be closed in June and have promised to resend emails but nothing so far. The wedding is 6 weeks away and over 40 people have nowhere to stay. The stress and anxiety this is causing is unbelievable and there has been no care given at all by the hotel management.
