Bit of a treat for us to go to Jack 'O' Bryan's but it's well worth it. The food is fantastic and the staff really put the effort in to make sure your experience is top notch.

COME HERE IF YOU THINK SCOTLAND’S CUISINE HAS NOTHING TO OFFER.I can’t stress enough how wonderful the whole experience has been. I’m still sitting at the table while writing this so I don’t forget!Scotland has a rich, diverse larder that we (as Spaniards) think is massively underrated and unused. So if you want to enjoy the premium ingredients Scotland has to offer, and add a master combination of flavour and creativity, please come here. You will not regret it.Our (kind, friendly and knowledgeable) waiter José let us know that the chef has recently been nominated for Best British Chef and we are not surprised in the least. So, come here before he does win or we guarantee you won’t be able to secure a table in months! An absolute gem of Scottish cuisine.

Delicious tapas style lunch menu. Really reasonably priced for the quality of ingredients. Lamb cutlets and chocolate whisky desert were my highlights. Looking forward to our next visit!

Outstanding place, best meal I've had in a very long time. Can't wait to go back. Staff are so charming, professional and friendly and the food just blew my mind! Can recommend the oysters in tempura batter with caviar for starters and the rack of lamb and please do order all the side veggies to share as so interestingly prepared. I'm booking my next meal today!

First time eating at this wonderful resturant as we were recommended by a good friend. The whole experience was amazing. The food was excellent and the service first class. We had the lunch menu so that we could try as many of the dishes as possible and all were superb. My favourite was the steak tartare; never had better. So I can highly recommend this place if you do fancy excellent cuisine.

Excellent food. Well presented and full of flavour. Extra delight was hand-made chocolates. Very attentive service throughout the evening in a lovely environment.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. We were blown away by the food and its presentation. Our son was a chef and its always a challenge taking him anywhere as he has high expectations but we can't wait to take him here. What a lovely treat it was today. Thanks to all the staff who work so hard throughout the year and who gave up their Hogmanay today to feed us so we'll. Happy New Year guys. Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024.

Has to be one of the best meals we have ever had. Exceptional quality and can honestly say the best steak I have ever eaten. First class service added to a very special dinner

My friends took my husband and I for a surprise 60th Birthday meal and from the moment we walked into the beautifully presented restaurant we were made to feel very welcome. Our drinks waiter was very helpful and recommended the special cocktail of the night which was very easy to drink and he was attentive with filling our wine glasses when required as well as table water with ice. Michelle went through the menu with us giving recommendations and detailed descriptions of each dish. Her passion and knowledge was refreshing and very welcome. We were not disappointed, the presentation and flavours of our various dishes were excellent and I will definitely be returning. This restaurant is worthy of all it’s positive reviews.

Jacks is our favourite place for special occasions- we visit often and both the food and service are always incredible. A special thanks the owner - and host - whose recommendations are always spot on and who is welcoming, warm & attentive. We felt wonderfully looked after, the atmosphere was both festive and comfortable and we’ll absolutely be back. A huge thank you to all the lovely staff members, you’re doing a wonderful job.

We visited for a special occasion & what a treat it was! From the moment that we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Throughout the evening, we had such delicious food - highlights include the cheese soufflé, scallops, picanha steaks with truffle, Iberian black pig, sticky toffee in a choux bun and grilled pineapple. In addition, the festive cocktail went down a treat at the end of the meal. We were so well cared for - our wine & water was topped up throughout the evening. Thank you to the owner & staff for making our evening so wonderful - we will definitely be back! It is definitely top choice for a special occasion in Dunfermline!

“ QUOTE FROM JACK HA HA HA I love to receive customers feedback though, hearing what they think of my chocolates and desserts.”……. It’s a pity you don’t want any feed back about your food, we were in yesterday asked a few questions regarding crackling ? Eventually Jacko Showed his true colours , came out of kitchen ranting verbal abuse at me , shouting in my face saying I was disrespectful to his staff ? yes i did ask 3 times about the crackling only because I was interested in the answer at no point did I raise my voice or say anything disrespecting . I have never been spoken to like that ever in my life , screaming at me In Front of fellow diners & engaging with them to say we were awful. The only person awful there was you , what a show to put on in front of paying customers and a shining example to your staff . Obviously a very egotistical male that has no manners . Nothing was wrong with the food just a wee explanation would have been sufficiently & absolutely no need for this outburst , which I have now found out is a frequent occurrence within your establishment . Thanks for spoiling our day .

Just back from an afternoon with 8 friends. I write this review with a very bitter taste in my mouth and that certainly wasn't from the food but the Customer Service. I will start by our welcome as most of us were seated and waiting for one friend to arrive as she had been held up by accident traffic, we informed the owner (who we came to understand later that's who it was) that she was running a few minutes late. The reply in a very stern voice was well how long is a few minutes, we explained we didn't know exactly and she said well she needed to know as the souffle took 15 minutes at that we found out she was past the accident and would actually be minutes away so to go ahead. One of our party is Dairy and Gluten free, we had all pre ordered from the menu and the lady with dietary requirements had contacted them. There was a huge mix up with her order and the Owner was very rude, raised her voice at my friend in a packed restaurant, so you can imagine how embarrassed she felt. My friend had explained she wanted to get the correct food as she was paying ordinary price rather than the set of £20 at which point the owner of the restaurant told her she would be paying the same as everyone else at £20. (Shame she didn't stick to that when the bill came) The food was very good I can't fault what I had, but the rude, irate Owner of the restaurant leaves a very bitter taste in ones mouth. We did challenge the bill and asked for the Owner to come over but she refused to deal with it and sent the Manager who at one point found it funny what we were saying and I asked what she found so funny about an Owner speaking to paying customers this way when in fact they had mixed up the order and two had advised they would be giving at same price as others. How embarrassing that in Hospitality you think you have the right to treat people this way. I'd say the food was of Gleneagles standard and the customer Service worse than Faulty Towers if you want to be humiliated and embarrassed it's certainly the place to go bearing in mind your paying for her to be rude, humiliate and embarrass. It was the first time I'd been here although i've given many vouchers as gifts, I certainly won't be back and won't be buying future gift vouchers. A very disappointing and upsetting experience indeed.
