We arranged for a late lunch on a gloomy Friday and were immediately charmed by the attentive (though not intrusive) service. The drinks and locally sourced food were top-flight.Highly recommended if you find yourself in the Edinburgh area. Make reservations.”
British • “A must try restaurant in Edinburgh! The service was great, and really appreciated the recommendations from the waiter, especially as a vegetarian. The celeriac steak was amazing, and so was the sticky toffee pudding! The dinner deal before 6:30pm is definitely worth it, but make sure to book in advance.”

Son has a tree nut and peanut allergy and we were delighted with the care they took with him, to doublecheck that he could have the Haggis/Tatties/Neeps and lamb shoulder and even the sticky toffee pudding! When they brought the starter over they even made sure to tell my son before he asked that the garnish was oatmeal, not nuts. Food was delicious and service was very friendly. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.”
British • “The Ivy on the Square was great! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere great. We had squid tempera, The Ivy Fish Pie, Fish and Chips and for dessert, Celebration Bomb, a chocolate and caramel delight. Highly recommend when you are in Edinburgh, Scotland.”
