Disgraceful service, booked online via their website, booking confirmed on the screen. No email or text received. Called the restaurant 5 times 2 hours before booking and 30 mins before booking another call - no answer every time.We turned up at the restaurant to be greeted by a rude host who was unwelcoming and dismissive said we don’t have your booking, our booking system is down, so can’t help you. I asked can we make a booking now or wait as there are 3-4 tables set with no customers. No. We have one person coming in at now and that’s all I’m taking. I asked again, as you’ve got set tables and you close in 3 hours can we sit at one of those? No. My staff are tired, it’s been a long day and I don’t want any more customers.Absolutely disgraceful.No solutions offered, no recognition that the website is down and we actually booked.No apology or sincerity.We decided to leave and headed down to Ramble Bar down the street which had a great vibe, really friendly service amazing food and cocktails.What happened to customers are always right.No time for people that go out of their way to be rude.

About average. Service ok, food ok, all just ok given price. Avoid the prawn cocktail though. Literally zero sauce (or flavour)...can't believe that was allowed to leave the kitchen. Thick cut chips were good though.

Had a great time , family meal out . 4 adults 1 x 4 yr old good selection and a decent portion size , cocktails not too expensive considering edinburgh location , server very attentive and friendly, will be back.

I can't find any fault with Miller & Carter. Every time I leave I remember why its so great. Everything about the place is a class above a lot of other restaurantsThe food is simply delicious. As are the drinks. All the staff are happy, welcoming, and extremely professional. They are very good at their job and make the experience all the more special with their attentiveness to the diners.As always we went for the steak. Which, as always was cooked perfectly. The beef dripping gravy takes the flavour to the next level. Onion Loaf on the side amd chunky chips helped soak up any gravy left on the plate.Even a simple addition of the lettuce wedge drizzled with honey & mustard sauce was great. A nice little touch adding more flavours to the already stacked table.Our table of 3 ate Chicken Wings and Chipotle Chicken for starters. 3 steaks with the sides. A sticky toffee pudding and some ice cream. Washed down with afew cocktails and gins.As I said at the top. I can't find any fault with it. Excellent from start to finish.Dietary restrictions: There's no issue if someone who has a dietary requirement. Simply tell the waiting staff and they can inform the chef. They will do their best to provide you with the dish you want. Or alternatively give you another option.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is very accommodating to children. There were kids of all ages enjoying dinner and having a great time with their families.

Gezellig steakhouse met je eigen steakspecialist. Onze ober Inaki geeft ons goed bedient. Op niets moeten wachten en ons goed begeleid om onze keuzes te maken. Heel lekker en mooi gepresenteerd. Enige minpunt.. ik had liever dat onze cour de beuf voorgesneden was en niet zelf alles snijden.

First time in Edinburgh and wanted a fabulous steak. We had the Butchers Block to serve for both of us. It included a 10 oz Ribeye, 10 oz filet and 7 oz Rump. Each steak was cooked to perfect temperature. We enjoyed the bone marrow and onion loaf included on the tray. Our server was Kirsty. She was delightful! She was friendly and funny and patient with us. Our host was quite personable as well but I did not get his name!
The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our waiter also very kindly had the chef make a nice note of my birthday on my desert plate, which was very kind of him to do so.

Fantastic service. Have visited Miller and Carter a good few times, mainly Aberdeen. We have also been to the Edinburgh City one, one other time. This most recent time has been our best experience yet. From the beginning we were welcomed at the door by a lovely man who was very friendly and accommodating. Following this we were greeted with our server, Silvia. Silvia went above and beyond for us, making our experience all the more better, asking if we had everything we needed, always refilling our water and topping up our wine from our bottle, genuinely the nicest waitress we have ever encountered. Food was fantastic also, had all three courses served very quickly, which came as a shock to us due to how busy it was. We were also made to feel extra special with personalised dessert plates for our anniversary and a complimentary glass of fizz each too. Overall an amazing service of great food, drinks and dining experience. Silvia definitely made this experience more special. Thanks again.

Dined here last night to celebrate our 10th year anniversary and Miller and Carter made it so so special. We had rib eye steaks that was cooked perfectly. And there are lots of options for drunks and desserts. If you are looking for a premium steak in Edinburgh City Centre without breaking your bank, this is the best place to go.There is a dress code so please check their website.
