Really impressed with our meal here.We arrived as they were opening in the evening, they have a great value set menu available until 1830 (only £29 for three course), two of us had the set menu and two of us had a la carte so we could try as many dishes as possible.Everything we had was delicious, I especially enjoyed the Shellfish and Fish soup, served with cheese, a delicious rouille and crispy croutons.Shetland Mussels were excellent, as was the Goan Monkfish curry (although I didn't like the dhal served with it)Basque Cheesecake with Mandarin Jam was a nice surprise, I eat far too many of these in Spain and this was up there with the best of them.Staff were friendly and service was excellent.Will definitely return next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Definitely a seafood place but a good variety of dishes and alternatives are available.Wheelchair accessibility: Main entrance does not have a button to open. Once inside, there's an elevator to take the short way up from street level. No impediment once inside the restaurant

Visited twice at the weekend both Friday and Saturday.I had friends from England up for the Rugby on Saturday. They suggested Ondine.Great I thought I love it there.OystersSoupHamPuddingsSquid tempura. With Vietnamese dipping sauce.Buffalo oysters were to die for. Full meaty oysters.Every thing was on point for both meals.Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.Kid-friendliness: Kids more than welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor restaurant but fully working lift suitable for wheelchairs

Was in Edinburgh for the rugby and fancied seafood so googled and found Ondine.The Buffalo oysters are amazing and the Turbot was melt in the mouth.Wine list was good and I stayed with what I know and ordered the NZ Sauv Blanc.Will definitely return when in Edinburgh.

Visited the Ondine at the weekend whilst in Edinburgh. Food was superb and staff were excellent, would highly recommend the Oysters and Squid, absolutely stunning. Will definitely be heading back for more on my next visit.

We went around half 5 when the restaurant was quite quiet and was greeted very quickly and showed to our seats. Our servers were all outstanding, particularly Joe, every other was equally as good but never caught their names. I am a very fussy eater but can safely say that Ondine is the best fish and chips meal I’ve ever had in my life. My partner had the oyster happy hour and lobsters and couldn’t rate them any more than 10/10. 5 out of 5!
