Really nice food, oysters super fresh! Lemon sole was cooked beautifully… I was eating early so maybe more atmosphere later in evening .. excellent staff.. it was a bit cold.. maybe a bit of a draft didn’t bother me so much as I am warm blooded but I know my wife would be not impressed. I will say it is freezing outside also!
Did not disappoint at all. Dishes were unique and fresh. We were in Edinburgh for a couple days and at one point in search of a nice Scottish dinner and this place certainly lives up to our expectation. Some of the best oysters I’ve had and i’ve had loads? Great dining experience all around!!!

After nearly 3 years of external work the restaurant is still hidden behind the scaffolding and plastic. Worth finding, however, for elegant cooking and great ingredients. Atmosphere a little lacking due to the subdued natural light but crisp and efficient service with good fish dishes.
