Meghan and Beth were superb bartenders, sharing with us their extensive knowledge of the cocktails, local gins, and fine whiskeys and scotches on hand. They not only crafted some of the most sumptuous drinks, but also shared with us the ‘dos and don’ts’ in Edinburgh. We enjoyed our time at the Caley bar, coming back thrice during my stay at the Caledonian. The service was above and beyond — we even came back as patrons while we were staying at the Balmoral, a dusty old hotel up the road. We love the Caley bar, can’t wait to be back! Be sure to ask for Meghan or Beth. :) 10/10

Pretty cool bar. Vibe is very relaxing and we had a great time. Beth was our server and and she was fantastic. Very personable and pleasant to talk to. Ellie made the hands down, best Whisky sour I have ever had. Cannot recommend enough!!

Amazing time! Met by a gentleman I believe to be called Nitten, graciously welcomed and seated us. Emily, Ellis and Beth (Apologies if names are misspelled) behind the bar had great recommendations including a delightful twist on a manhattan/revolver by Ellis, was rather mindblowing I must say. Spiffing indeed. All staff had a smile and were extremely helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will be back!

With a keen understanding and an evident passion for whisky, Charles guided us through a sensory journey that was both educational and immensely enjoyable. I shared my flavor preferences with him, and he did not disappoint - serving up some of the finest whiskies I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Each selection was a testament to his expertise and the bar's impressive collection. 10/10 would recommend

This is exactly what you’d expect from a luxury cocktail bar. Beautiful place, warm atmosphere, huge selection, great cocktails, and staff who are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We always feel welcome when we pop in for a drink. The drinks are delicious and the vibe is perfect. Staff know their stuff and go out of their way to make you feel welcome - whether you want a quiet drink to yourself or fancy a chat with someone new. There is always a chance of seeing a famous person enjoying a drink as well! As for food, hands down the best club sandwich in Edinburgh is served here. Always a 10/10 experience whenever we come here. Shout out to Charles, Ellie and assistant manager Lukas for their warm welcome.

Service impeccable. Came on Christmas Eve a nice before dinner drinks. Atmosphere cozy, pleasant, club like. Would come back more often. It isn't loud, can have a conversation without shouting.

Gorgeous bar, nice atmosphere. My husband and I went for some drinks to celebrate my birthday and Charles the bartender was absolutely AMAZING! So knowledgeable, really interesting to listen to, he totally made our experience! He even made me a special birthday cocktail, named The Sarah. We intended to go for a quiet drink and ended up staying until the bar closed. It really was a brilliant night, made all the better by Charles. A credit to the bar! Absolutely worth a visit, and we will be back!
