“We were looking for a place for our last night in Edinburgh and I was not expecting much based on the location (Royal Mile). I was wrong. First we sat at the bar and had amazing cocktails (along with a solid haggis bon bons) and then had a tremendous dinner (lamb and venison - both cooked to perfection.”

“Me and my friends had a lovely meal here celebrating my graduation! Everyone who served us was so friendly and welcoming.I love how they have good sharing options - instead of each getting an individual starter we got the focaccia which was the perfect amount to share between three of us. I had the carbonara as a main which was delicious! They also have a huge selection of wines and the wine tasting vending machine was a nice touch! There was a bit of a wait between courses but it was a busy Friday night so that’s understandable. Overall a really lovely evening in a beautiful atmosphere!”

“Food, service and ambience all perfect. No rushing and 5 star service. I had the King prawn Thai green curry which was one of, possibly the best, I've ever had. The bread and butter pudding was to die for!”

“Super chill local pub right on the water with nice views. It was cold and rainy the day I was here so it was a nice stop for a great lunch. Met some nice local guys who took the time to explain the cricket game on the TV. Now for the food... OMG... the freshest fish. Fish & Chips was fabulous and a Huge plate. Calamari was just caught and fried.... Absolutely to die for. Accompanied by a Thistly Cross which is a dry cider aged in a whiskey barrel. Very different, very good and not sweet. My type of cider!”
