What a disappointing experience. £12.95 for litterally 2 table spoons of overcooked rice badly presented in a really small bowl (it was only half full!) With a salad on the side that was bigger than the main course. When the girl at the till asked me for feedback I told her how bad the meal was and she just said "sorry, I'll pass it on". And proceeded to make me pay the whole amount. I would rather not post bad a review, but the meal was road side diner quality with restaurant prices and the complaint was dealt with carelessly. This is terrible customer care.

We dine in Weavers several times a week and have never been disappointed. Some of the reviews have been quite brutal and need addressing. Over the last few months the restaurant has been through some turmoil, staffing levels front and back of house in line with the rest of the UK hotel and catering industry. There is a new menu coming in the next couple of weeks. Our food and level of service has always been first class. Tempura Prawns are superb as is the soap and a sandwich combination. All the soaps are homemade and lovely and thick not like some who serve watered down versions. The world seems to be full of complainers, reviews stating that the staff were run off their feet and wait times for meals. All the sympathy then followed by a slating review. I know the plenty customers where given massive discounts or free meals to compensate for the situation at the time. All the staff front and back of house are superb but every so often they are caught out by a massive influx of customers. Having to wait for freshly cooked meals is a good thing over the ding ding microwaved meals served elsewhere. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

The food was lovely, I had a prawn sandwich. However the service wasn’t good. I had to wait ages for my drink, which was just a tea. My food came out first and I was left waiting for another 15 mins for my drink, which only then came because I told 2 members of staff that I was still waiting. No one came to ask me if my food was ok. And no one came to clear my plate after I had finished. I sat there for half an hour after I had finished and no one came. Lots of dirty tables left around me as well which isn’t nice. They could be short staffed, so it’s not the waitress’ fault, but if that’s the case then the company needs to look at getting more staff.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea with my mum and dad. Things were a little chaotic to start with as after we were all settled at our table they decided to move us as they said there wouldn't be room for our food, they knew we had booked afternoon tea so why hadn't we been put on the right table to start with. When I booked the afternoon tea I requested 2 vegetarian and 1 Salmon, cream cheese, I also highlighted the need for clotted cream as being very important as you can't have afternoon tea without it. All came as requested and the choice of little cakes was brilliant. This is the second afternoon tea I have had at weavers and both times have been fantastic. Can't wait for the next opportunity to have an afternoon tea here.

Felt I needed to share my experience me and 2 friends had at the Weavers Resturant in Johnstons of Elgin. We were pleasantly surprised with the level of service , quality of food and the whole experience. We had one of there high teas with a range of sandwiches and cakes. We left full and completely satisfied. Highly recommend this restaurant ? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Set within a knittery that takes its pricing cues from the similarly bloated Burberry, this cafe does the best it can under the circumstances of apparently not having people in the kitchen who attend to the process of cookery. In other words, ain't no chefs. Nevertheless the shroom soup is as satisfying as it is simple. The sandwich falls heavily to the floor of dissatisfaction, under the underweight(?) of shredded whatever cheese and somehow almost cabbage free cole slaw. The cakes look alright, but eat like those we hate ourselves for eating at roadside stations. The 3* essentially earned by the highly motivated team. They're a delight...if only they could find the desire to get into the kitchen, with a Jamie or Delia cookbook and get into action.

This is an attractively laid out restaurant contained within Johnstons Wool Mill. There is a varied lunch menu plus a specials board and also a soup and sandwich combo which I opted for. Prices were reasonable, service from the two members of staff that I encountered was quick and friendly and most importantly, lunch was delicious.

Before visiting my mother who lives in the local area I decided to pop into weavers restaurant to purchase cakes to take away. I stood at the counter and was passed by numerous members of staff and ignored, an employee came and went from behind the counter and still no recognition that I was there. A quick ' I'll be with you soon' would have surficed. Walked out in disgust, some customer service training is sorely needed!!

The restaurant is located at the back of the salesroom. It is sufficiently large and nicely designed. The service was good, the staff very friendly. The food tasted very good to us. A mixture of traditional and modern. The prices are relatively moderate, although not super cheap. We would come again at any time.

Johnsons Weaver Cafe has always been a lovely place to sit the surroundings are lovely and the staff very pleasant. The menu however is nowhere near as varied as it used to be. Infact if you don't like eggs and fish you will have a problem, Crepes and alsorts of other lovely varied item use to be on the menu. Even the fish cakes have dissapeared since last week. Some of the things on the board ar so small that is barely a snack! Please go back to the variety of the nice, well thought out menu!!!!

I was surprised and disappointed this morning, my wife and I love visiting Weavers for breakfast, so this morning I decided to go myself while out on a short motorcycle run. The breakfast was good but the service was terrible. I first felt I was wearing an invisibility cloak as numerous servers passed me by and I eventually had to make myself very obvious to get some attention (this was with only 6 tables occupied and 5 servers on duty that I could see). Even after I had the menu I had to wait another 20 minutes before anyone took my order. I am not one to complain but I thought at first it was because I was dressed in motorcycle clothing but later I observed others having to make them selves obvious before getting things like sauce and other items that the servers should have been observant of. Most of the servers were young and being a retired manager myself it was very obvious that they were not to blame but the management and supervisor was as these young people had not been properly trained. Johnson’s please pick your game up, you have a good restaurant and good food. Please train your young staff and you will have a winner. Like I said I have been there many times and it has been good but this morning I was sadly disappointed.
