I Normally have the soup and sandwich combo, but unfortunately there wasnt any vegetarian/ vegan soup available, only for meat eaters, so i was a bit disappointed on this visit. ? maybe chef could make 2 soups available for vegetarians/vegans and the omnivores daily. Just an idea, after all its "The Planta cafe" Grest for gluten free and other dietary requirements.

152-154 High St, ElginOk so the service cancelled be a bit slow. I put this down to them being young though and wanting to chat, you know what it's like when once upon a time you actually liked people. So I'm letting them off with that.
They are all super friendly, they definitely have the right approach when it comes to disabilities. Helping with the ramp to get in and making sure the seating is ok.
The disabled toilet situation does let them down a little bit, only because it's really hard to get in and out of.
Now the food. WOW the food is amazing. We have been a few times now and can never fault the food , sticky chicken is amazeballs and definitely worth it. Today I tried the chicken kebab and got to say was definitely worth it. Loved the chips too.
Choice of food and drink is great.
Parking: There is some limited parking on the street but plenty of car parking lots near by.
Kid-friendliness: They are great with kids. They have a kids menu which is great although my son loves his food so gets an adults menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps in, however they are happy to bring out the ramp to get a wheelchair inside. How the restaurant is set up is wheelchair friendly. It's not a super easy toilet and I wouldn't say that's disabled friendly.

My wife and I have just experienced one of the best 'lunch dates' ever.
We have been married over 40 years and have in that time had many meals out.
However, today's was exceptional and the staff in The Granary can be rightly proud of the service they provide.
As soon as we walked in the door, we had a warm welcome from Lisa who showed us to the very comfy seating.
My wife had Hunters Chicken and I had the Bellhaven Steak Pie. Neither of us could fault either the food or the service. Initially, I was doubtful as to whether or not I could finish what was a very generous helping. However, not a morsel was left! The pie was very well filled with the most tender and lean pieces of steak and the flaky pastry on the pie was delicious. My wife's chicken was equally well enjoyed and we shared a bowl of onion rings as a side dish.
The chef's name was Keith and our lovely waitress was Lisa.
We will be back!

20 Thunderton Pl, ElginWe recently dined at Pizzaria Toscana, and we had a fantastic experience. I ordered the Calzone, and my wife had the Pollo Pepe. Both dishes were delicious and exceeded our expectations.
The Calzone was perfectly baked with a nice crispy crust and a generous, tasty filling. My wife's Pollo Pepe was a standout too, with tender chicken and a flavorful, peppery sauce that added just the right amount of spice.
The service was another highlight. Despite being a small restaurant, the staff were quick and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed without any long waits. The cozy interior added to the charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
One thing to note is that only house wines are available by the glass, while other wines are available by the bottle. We didn't try the house wine, but it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer wine with your meal.
On top of the great food and service, the prices were quite reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. If you're in Elgin and looking for a great Italian meal, Pizzaria Toscana is definitely worth a visit.

Newmill, ElginReally enjoyed our meal of gammon and all the trimmings. We were £20 per person for meal, soft drink & a coffee . Coffees are lovely smooth tasting. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our only negative point was really about the other rude entitled customers who queue jumped when we were waiting both to wait for a table and then again when we went to pay . The system was a bit awkward as the paying point and checking in pount are next to one another and caused confusion both times - can this point be merged into one queue?

Had a very tasty burger where you can pick your bun and toppings and came with nice sides. Burger made by local butcher and chargrilled and was the best burger i had in a while. Husband had the slow cooked brisket with mash and gravy and that was delicious too. Friendly, attentive staff too. Comfortable seating - we were in a booth - lots of space. Only worry was its cash only but we had enough cash fortunately so not a problem.Parking: A few paid parking options within a very short distance.

ElginI can describe it as the cosiest pub you'll visit in Elgin. It has a great atmosphere, wooden ceiling and stone walls, followed by a fireplace that gives to it life. Bar staff were very friendly and made us feel like home! There's a pool table and darts! 100% recommended.

11 Moss St, ElginDecided to try the Ashvale for the first time. We were super chuffed we did! Best fish and chips we have had in ages. We both opted for the jumbo haddock suppers, the fish was massive!! And our child (aged 2) got to eat for free!!! So so happy with that. He had chicken nuggets and was perfectly happy too, it was proper chicken too and not the usual nugget mulch out the freezer. The staff were fabulous. Our toddler is like many toddlers and wouldn’t sit still, but the staff chatted to him and kept him entertained and looked after. His meal out first and his pudding out first. Couldn’t ask for more, loved it! We will be back ?

The staff are all exceptionally friendly and they certainly make the visit a welcomed one. I find in a lot of starbucks, the cold drinks usually taste super weak and watered down but that wasn't the case here. Overall a really nice experience!

We always come back as the food is very tasty, service is always with a smile and the coffee is made hot. What I mean by that is that it is not reasonably hot to start but then luke warm within minutes. It actually stays hot so you can enjoy it for longer and tastes great as well.
Thank you to Sophia, who served us, who was very pleasant and polite and made our visit very welcoming. All the staff are very welcoming and a pleasure to talk to.

It was fresh and plenty of different choices of sandwiches/wraps/homebakes/fruits/crisps. The price/quality is superb and such a friendly staff and cooperative and really thinking out of the box and making sure everything for our lunch was taken care off and making sure to cater for any dietary preferences (gluten free/vegan/vegetarian). They delivered to the venue in Elgin without any issues and really go out of their way. All the participants loved the fresh and very wide selection of items and we are already looking at booking the Little Lunchbox for our next event. We can definitely recommend this caterer. Orrin Restaurant & Bar
2-6 South St, ElginWe always have a fantastic experience at Orrin. I suffer from a food allergy and the level of care taken by staff puts me at complete ease that I’m safe in their hands. They’re also able to advise on what parts of a dish will involve my uncommon allergen and it really shows the care and dedication taken with the food they make - and the knowledge of their produce. I don’t feel the same level of reassurance elsewhere, regardless of price point. We’ve paid more locally when dining out and Orrin blows them out the water. The food is always outstanding, and even my fussy 12 year old says the food is ‘amazing’. For those 18 and up, the cocktails are also delicious. We joke in our house that our tummies are sad after leaving. We look forward to cheering our stomachs up again soon!
Dietary restrictions: As above, Orrin staff are great when dealing with my uncommon allergy. In some places I’ve felt like a pest for asking, and in others I haven’t felt confident I’m safe to eat. That’s never an issue here.
Kid-friendliness: My 12 year old was spoken to directly and not through mum / dad, which they appreciate. It may seem like a small thing but having confidence to say what you like / don’t like is a hugely important life skill, and helps kids to set boundaries about their own autonomy. It’s nice to have that reinforced by others outside the home.

Newmill, Scotland, ElginWe had a wonderful tour around the factory with Morah, who was so good you simply could not tell she had possibly given this tour hundreds of times. She was really knowledgeable, friendly and an all round great guide. The tearoom was very nice. Sadly, we can no longer afford their jumpers but it was a real treat to visit.
