Trellis Coffee Shop
50 Main St, Newburgh, EllonI love visiting Trellis either for lunch or a coffee/cake. Service could be more attentive and sometimes we can’t get a seat with our dogs as the dog friendly area is full of people without dogs, but we usually just get takeaway if that’s the case and take it home with us.

Newburgh Inn, Main St, Newburgh, EllonSix rooms booked for family attending event in village.
Hotel room clean, shower good, bathroom clean. Facilities in room good, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/water/ biscuits available. Hairdryer and iron available in room, double size sofa bed in family room. Restaurant food was excellent, evening meal and breakfast, plenty of choice. Staff, polite, helpful and attentive. Great value overall.
Nothing to warrant a bad review and minor issues already resolved after discussion with management.

40 Market St, EllonThis place has a great variety of sweets to choose from. The prices are pretty reasonable, too, which is always a bonus. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious! Definitely worth checking out if you have a sweet tooth.

1 The Square, EllonWe booked a chocolate fun session which my 4 year old granddaughter which she enjoyed, however I found the staff were bit disinterested to be honest. We maybe misheard the girl but I’m sure she said she would put our chocolate in fridge once made? Never once asked if all was ok or if we wanted anything else …. Maybe just wanted to leave us to it but not even a smile/thank you when we left. Remember a place is only as good as your staff - I presume they staff & not the owner? Such a pretty little place too but doubtful we will return & wouldn’t recommend this place.

The Tolbooth
23 Station Rd, EllonSaw Revival play live in the conservatory. Beautiful setting. The band were awesome! The Tolbooth is lovely! Nicely decorated, clean & comfortable. Staff were cheerful and really quick & helpful. Locals were so friendly and welcoming, and talented too! I'd definitely recommend a visit!

21 The Square, EllonI'm so glad I decided to come here on Mothers Day, lunch with my boys was amazing.
Food so delicious, good quality and the presentation... Chef's kiss.
I did tried the coffee roast no 2, it was really good, interesting and so refreshing. I normally drink latte so drinking black coffee from cafetiere was a new and inspiring experience.
The atmosphere inside was very calm but lively and the same time. You don't feel rushed even more you're encouraged to fully enjoy your meal/coffee/time.
Will be coming back for sure.

unit 3, 32 Bridge St, EllonFirst time I have been for a Chinese take away for a long time, cost of living recently has stopped me eating out. But this was really nice. Chicken curry and duck spring rolls I will deffonaetly go back again. It's very reasonable priced.

19 Market St, EllonIt’s by far the best Chinese takeaway in Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire. I grew up near Manchester’s Chinatown and most Chinese takeaways in Aberdeen are not good by comparison. This is the only takeaway that’s on par with the ones I grew up with. You have to be patient though as they’re often busy and you won’t get an accurate time for collection as they always tell you an hour but they do call you when it’s ready if you order by phone. Still worth it for the best Chinese you’ll get up North!

Ythan Terrace, EllonGreat place for any dog owner, although wish it had more space for the dogs to play and socialise with each other. Food is quite standard and slightly overpriced for a brunch and I think should have more options for dogs instead of just plain treats and puppy ice cream, just so it could do justice to the name :)

1 Union Ln, EllonVisited here with friends who live in the area as they said it’s the best ice cream parlour in Ellon.
Treated to a 3 scoop cone - very generous amount of ice cream.
I had soaked caramel, banoffee and maltesser, and my other half had maltesser and crunchie.
We disagreed on the maltesser, she loved it, I was disappointed to many maltessers ! Crunchie could have been a little crunchier !
The salted caramel was the best I have had, the caramel made it softer than the others. Banoffee also delicious.
The cones were also great choc and sprinkle topped.
