What find, we went there with our Scottish friends and were very impressed. Friendly welcome and excellent service. The food was fantastic, good size portions and well cooked. Go easy on the mains as if you have the high tea the cakes and scones are delicious. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit to Forfar, and our first visit to this cosy restaurant. We had a delicious high tea at a very reasonable price. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and mostly homemade. We will definitely be visiting again.

Had a lovely meal at the castle club. Only fault was it was a wee bit expensive for the portion size but very tasty. No vegan or vegetarian options.

We visited for lunch beautiful tasty homemade steak pie and all trimmings, my friend had homemade chicken noodle soup and cheese and ham toastie with coffee to follow Absolutely delicious Great service and atmosphere, we will return.

This was special in many ways. A group of folk, some only meeting for the first time, came together at Castle Club to eat. Scampi, steak pie (my choice), fish and macaroni cheese were meals ordered. Seven in all. It was all served hot and brought at the same time. We weren't the only diners and I noticed that it was the same for every table. Not a plate went back with food on. Huge pots of tea, toast, cakes and scones all came to the table for us to enjoy. Butter too for the varied breads. Real butter mind! The staff were polite and attentive and happy to refill pots, cups and drinks with pleasant banter and a smile. It was truly enjoyable. I might also add it was beautifully clean and the ladies loos were spotless. Nice one, Castle Club. Chef not currently married... I asked lol.
