“Yesterday was the first time we had eaten in Cafe 1496, went back today for lunch again as we really enjoyed it. Staff were cheery and very helpful, cafe was clean and bustling, food on both occasions was fresh and tasty, prices were fine.

Vegetarian options: There were enough vegitarian options on the menu to go back to this cafe several times, food was excellent, tasty and fresh, all too often vegetarian options are bland.”

“We dined at the Chinese night in The Captain’s Table tonight and it was fantastic. The food was amazing and a brilliant selection on the menu. The staff are awesome and super friendly. We had our 4 month old puppy with us and he loved the fuss that the staff made of him. We also loved the fire, made the place lovely and cosy. Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We will absolutely be back soon! 100% recommend!”
