“They do not serve food. We were camping locally and were able to take our fish and chips in with us to eat with our pints. The folks (landlord and locals) were very friendly and welcoming. We had a fun evening.”

Open fireplace in the en-suite beside the free-standing bath...The comfiest bed - a four-poster!Whole place in need of redecorating but seemed clean enough.Every surface covered in pictures, knick-knacks, interesting oddments.Menu with heavy American influence (the owner is from Pennsylvania) which was fun to sample, and staff were excellent.Renowned for great selection of real ales and whiskies which didn't disappoint.Very dog-friendly which was a big plus for us.A little bit pricey for the standard and quality of decor, we thought.”
