The Union Tavern
29 High St, FortroseVery kind and helpful staff. I popped in with my baby boy on a Monday afternoon. It was only place open in town where I could get hot water to heat the milk for his bottle.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Thank you!

IV10 Cafe Bar Deli
18 High St, FortroseBy the might of the Highlands, we ventured to IV10 for a midday tapas feast. And lo, though our spirits were high, our wallets did quiver at the end, for a lunch of £90 did strike us as a mighty blow. The chicken came in three small offerings; the prawns, five, but surely, for two hearty souls, six prawns and four chicken pieces would befit a king’s banquet. The crushed potatoes, adorned with spring onions, held promise, and the charred cabbage, with a Marmite spell, was curious but not triumphant. Desserts were sweet, and the drinks lifted us briefly, yet that warmth from the blazing log burner made the hall a furnace. IV10, thou hast potential, but temper thy prices, balance thy portions, and let not the fire smother thy charm, and then, oh then, thou shalt be a triumph!

The Anderson
Union St, FortroseEverything about The Anderson is great. First, it is nestled in the hauntingly beautiful and serene Black Isle in the Scottish Highlands. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food and drink are fantastic and the proprietor is delightful, creative and brings new meaning to funny and charmingly quirky. Can’t recommend this place enough!
