Milo the pup was lovely. I would caution any lone female (not local) from visiting this pub - off season at least because it is full of predators. Went for one pint (one!) and instantly pounced on by one old boy asking me into the toilet, if im a runaway etc, then later when i had a (lovely) dinner at the Anderson i had to get the bus back to Inverness which is sadly across the road from the union. A different lad upon seeing me ran to the bus stop and followed me all the way to Inverness. I just went to fortrose for a day trip and i got harassed and stalked. Thanks Union Pub.

Called in to the Union Tavern on a coach trip and did not know what to expect. Was met with a warm and cosy pub with a log fire ... plenty of whisky to choose from and a welcoming hostess and friendly locals ... we will certainly be coming back ... thank you Nicky and Phil from West Yorkshire

Just a great Scottish local

My very first time in this pub and I was treated like the prodigal son. Great landlady who wanted to give me free food within seconds of entering. If you want to meet the friendliest people, drop in.

Always a bright & friendly service from all, especially

Fiona Carter

They do not serve food. We were camping locally and were able to take our fish and chips in with us to eat with our pints. The folks (landlord and locals) were very friendly and welcoming. We had a fun evening.

Great place when visiting Oban and starting and ending your day with a beer.

Not the prettiest building, but good (keg only) beer, including locally brewed stuff, reasonable prices, and best of all, the chatty, interesting barman. We left feeling very welcome in this small town, and with new recommendations on where to go next!

Very friendly local pub, was offered free soup and bread but was on a beer diet so sadly turned it down.

This place is superb, local people are just brilliant, they made us feel welcoming same as their staff. One of the best pubs we ever visited! You have to try their local Ale Happy Chappy. Loved it.
