We came here on a Saturday and ordered 2 take away sandwiches. We stood and waited 35 minutes for the Sandwiches. We were told it was very busy only after ordering and already waiting 20 minutes. The sandwiches were about £7 each. They were not good. I have attached a photo.

Nice bijou traditional Scottish Italian cafe/deli. Pasta, snacks and (home made?) cakes . Lots of Italian deli products. Friendly staff, Al fresco option, good coffee. Very popular at

Absolutely shocking service today and it’s not the first time, gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned but was left dissatisfied. Waited 20 mins (after them making my coffee) for the woman behind the counter to put a piece of cake into a box, 3 other people who came in after me got served before me (with larger orders) and the attitude from the woman serving was terrible, also made the wrong coffee, asked for 2 cappuccinos and one of them was just a regular coffee, both of which were cold from waiting about for so long. Will not be back in here.

One of the most quaint little eateries in the Southside. Lovely atmosphere, brilliant food and the staff feel like family, very very welcoming. This is my default place to go to pick up nice pastas and Italian gifts for friends and family (and a glass of wine!)

Food and drink excellent.

Visited for Sunday lunch with my family, thankfully we booked as it was busy with a great atmosphere. We had the most wonderful host Rob who was very attentive, especially to my year old grandson who so enjoyed Rob’s ragú sauce. Thank you Rob for looking after us all so well.

Very popular. A wee cafe and deli. I found it a bit cramped, food was ok, coffee was good. Staff helpful but service was a bit slow that day.

Very arrogant owner who threw her staff under the bus when our order wasn’t passed over, despite the fact she herself confirmed our order of the last portion of lasagne. Offhand, defensive apology made it worse when we asked how much longer we’d need to wait. Bottom line is we waited over an hour to be served, no apology, no offer of free coffee etc. A small offer to compensate would have saved us as future customers but we won’t be back. Arrogant business owners like this do themselves no favours. You need to realise there’s more to it than just the food. Look after your customers!!! Especially when things go wrong

I visited the deli to buy some higher end Italian meat for my carbonara. While I was advised that they were no longer a serving deli counter, I was nonetheless told that I would be helped out. I was referred to an older gentleman behind the counter who seized this as an opportunity to massage his own ego and patronise/belittle me in the process. An interrogation commenced about how I was intending cooking his product and he took great delight in me providing the wrong answers. It was quite an unpleasant experience and no way to treat a paying customer. The other staff I encountered were generally fine and the place has a warm ambiance. As a learning point, I’d advise toning down the arrogance of your deli man, no matter how skilled/knowledgeable he may think he is.

So disappointed with the experience here today. We arrived at 17:00 by 17:45. We still were not served. The place is a shambles, so many poor reviews also on Google and I see that the owner only replies to people who have given good reviews. We were sat in eye view of the pay point, around six couples who turned up after us got served before us. That was enough and left very poor and disappointed! I would avoid.

We have given this place at least 5 visits in the space of 2 months.. As an Italian I enjoyed the look and smell of the restaurant however on each visit the service was appalling. We sat outside a few times and we waited and waited for someone to take our order. I went inside to order and was told to go back to my table and someone would take my order. 20 mins later I ordered my breakfast and it was nice. I then enquired about a cake in the display and nobody knew what it was!! A coffee, some eggs and a cake took 90 mins! The remaining visits were very similar with nice coffee, food but terrible and some rude ( usually young) staff. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Friendly staff, however, the service was abysmally slow, the cafe was moderately busy but 20 mins wait for a small order for 4 people was excessive. We decided to stay for another drink thinking the first round was atypical, but no the second round took equally as long. There were plenty of staff but most of them appeared disinterested in service. Very disappointed.

Awful service . 10 minute wait to order . 20 minute wait for a tea ! As for the sandwich that was around 45 minutes. Maybe they’re trying to break records .
