“It was a really lovely day! We brought our golden retriever puppy for his first ever pub lunch and the staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating. We ordered our pup a cheeseburger as a treat and they even served it cut up and in a doggy bowl! Such a lovely touch. Food is great, place is lovely, I've been a few times before with my nephew as it's also great for kids, but with how dog friendly it is, I'll definitely be back much more frequently - could be a regular day out for us!”

“I was in with my family today and I have not been here in a while, Cath approached us as we came in with the loveliest of smiles. She asked if we had any allergens which my wife had and she guided us through the process.service was amazing from start to finish and the food was also delicious thanks to Cath and her team we will be back soon.”

“I think we push up the average age of the customers when we visit. We have eaten here three times now and enjoyed every meal. You cannot book, so just give your name to the reception team and they will tell you how long the wait will be, or call you in if your lucky to have a short waiting time. The pizza list is quite limited but they are all freshly baked and the ingredients are really good. We share a board to start at £9.50 and if you have a pizza each as well, it is a lot of food. The wine and drink prices are restaurant standard for the city centre e.g. £25 to £30 for a bottle. Quite noisy great for groups and we have always had brilliant service.”

“Regularly visit for the carvery option as we love the wee bowl we can get for our little one. We were looking forward to going after the refurb but the food was disappointing. The halloumi fries were soggy, the children's burger was really awful - my 1 year is a great eater but had i known the burger was going to be thinner than a mcdonalds and solid I would not have ordered it - he spat it out - I tried it and it was really awful. Tasted burnt/greasy - think it was frozen. I had the nachos - never again - partly my fault for not reading it thoroughly but the cheese sauce was horrible - the tandoori chicken wasn't great either as the topping. Not even sure I would return for the carvery - not worth the price which is a shame really as we would have visited this place couple of times a month. Can't fault the staff though always very friendly and welcoming.”

“We had a group booking of 19 people and Lynsey our server was fantastic. Food was delicious, all of our dietary requirements were spot on (with Lynsey very knowledgable on options for us) and menu reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.”

“Booked by my daughter who has been here many times before ,we actually turned up early but they accommodated us despite it being busy . The service was fantastic by Keirg and the rest of the staff. Food was delicious and I actually took myself out of my comfort zone and had seafood. I was not disappointed!! Thank you team for a great meal for the celebration of my daughter's graduation!”
