Cleats is a lovely local bar with views over the Clyde. It has the best occasional band on and is reasonably priced. No food, no dogs.

Imagine they abolish the curfew, but your door staff can't even comprehend this as a possibility!!

Was out with the lads when we went here. Great atmosphere and service. Very friendly bar ? more middle agers in here which makes it great ? nice n bright surroundings and very clean.

We went on the search for the best pint of Guinness in Gourock and we found it in this bar! The staff were very friendly to two unfamiliar faces which is always a sign of a lovely bar!

Good for a drink inside or at outside tables. Not much seaviews though.

Not really got much to review considering we were turned away at the door. So for context, myself and my friends had had a few glasses of alcohol prior to trying to access the pub, nothing much and every member of the party was essentially sober. The bouncer and one member of bar staff at the door told one of us that she’d had too much and couldn’t come in. We reported this to the manager as it was blatant lies. The story then changed to suspected drug use, as they claimed they could smell drugs on us, which again was also blatant lies. From looking at reviews, it seems a few others have experienced this or something similar. I’m not 100% sure why they fabricated this story, perhaps because they don’t like gay people or perhaps because they don’t like English tourists. Who knows? It’s a shame aswell, because one of the pub owners was lovely and tried to resolve the issue, and it’s a shame her staff let her down on this occasion by exhibiting bizarre and rude behaviour.
My wife and I popped in for a couple of drinks. Non pretentious proper pub with fabulous views.

A great popular local bar with evening lounge. Great views of Clyde from panoramic windows, great staff, prices and atmosphere when busy. Quiz nights and DJ during week nights, some good live music. A favourite pub of mine. ?
