Buckleys Small Plates
19 Kempock St, GourockGreat small venue for small plate fine dining. Menu is varied and very good with plenty of choices. Great place and will be back but the only mark down to a 4* on atmosphere due to it feeling a little cramped with me having to tuck myself in a few times while eating to allow space for people to pass where I was sitting. All in all though its a very good eating experience.

Victoria Bar
106 Shore St, GourockAt the end of a long dog walking day. I love to relax and have a laugh with the bar staff. Plus a bit of human interaction after walking dogs all day is a must.. It's also dog friendly so I always take my wee Fonzie here too. It's defo the best pub in Inverclyde. Even as a night out with your pals. Great music. Great people. 10/10. I will always recommend here. ?

The Cove
1 Cove Rd, GourockThe Cove is a lovely place with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views. The service was friendly, and the overall experience was enjoyable. However, the toast wasn’t very tasty — it could be improved by using brioche or sourdough bread instead. Still, it’s a nice spot to enjoy a drink or a light meal by the water.

Bluebird Cafe
11 Cardwell Rd, GourockIn my opinion the bluebird cafe is one of the best cafes I’ve been to in a long time. First of all the service is spectacular with many staff asking if the meal was alright. Secondly, the food was quick to get to us and perfectly cooked with it being hot as-well. The atmosphere was perfect being not too loud and not too quiet with many families. The sweets and ice cream was so nice having a wide selection of sweets in jars and ice cream flavours.

The Darroch Bar
72-73 Shore St, GourockOk so in scottish terms it an 'old mans pub' but u can tell that from outside before u walk in the door so its not pretending to be something ut isnt. First time in the Darroch for a friends wedding reception. We were in the function room upstairs. Its a no fuss, no frills venue but does the job! All the staff were lovely. The house band played for an hour and they were awesome! If you like your rock music this is the place to be in Gourock for live music! Karaoke followed and what a great night we had! Karaoke host was a good laugh and really encouraged everyone to get up and sing. The drinks were flowing and we were surrounded by good company so what else coukd u ask for? Thanks for a great night!

Lucky House
83 Shore St, Gourockbest Chinese food I've tasted in a long time, on holiday and decided to get a Chinese takeaway. The lady on the phone was so lovely and helpful. The food arrived piping hot well within the time she said. The chunks of chicken in the meals was cooked to perfection and plenty of it as well. Will definitely order again before end of holiday.

Cleats Bar
4 Kempock St, GourockVisiting the area and popped in for a quiz (and a few drinks). Clean, friendly, a young (uni) crowd in, also seemingly for the quiz. Didn't do well in the quiz but we did have a good time while there.

Gianni's Pizzeria
14 Kempock St, GourockCredit Where Credit’s Due: A Family Pizza Adventure
So, my family and I decided to try Tonino's after hearing it was voted Scotland’s Best Pizzeria at The Scottish Italian Awards. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The service was okay, but we had a set time slot for pickup, and if it hadn’t been for me calling while sitting in the car to check if they accepted card payments, we wouldn’t have known our order was already waiting. By the time we got home, the pizza was cold, and at nearly £20 for ONE 16-inch pizza, it just didn’t impress. The experience overall was pretty underwhelming.
The next weekend, I gave Nico’s a call to ask about their prices for 16-inch pizzas, as we needed two this time. They were much cheaper — around £12 for a plain cheese pizza, with £2 for each topping. I then called Gianni's, and they quoted me £9.50 for a plain cheese pizza, so we decided to give them a shot.
From the moment I called Gianni’s, I was impressed, The staff were friendly, polite, and even told me about a meal deal option. When we went to pick up the pizza, it was scalding hot! The quality was fantastic — fresh, delicious, and the garlic dip was the perfect addition. It was such a great experience that I can confidently say Gianni's is now my go-to pizza place. Don’t fall for the hype around Tonino's it's litterally 2 for the price of one! with zero compromise on quality and taste! — Gianni’s is the real winner here!
