Amazing garden center and gift shop in the woods at Speyside, great walks and really really friendly staff. Can overnight in your motorhome in the woods for free if you have a meal there, we had dinner and breakfast the next morning and both were amazing. Well recommended!

A lovely garden centre with a restaurant. The pants are well worth buying if you want to ensure they are suitable for highland weather. The staff are really helpful and provide good impartial advice. The restaurant service is good with homemade goodat reasonable prices. Well worth going to even if you don't want to buy any plants.

I remember this as the Heather Centre (old name before the fire and rebuild). Nice big and welcoming restaurant seating area inside and outside. Delicious food, we love the breakfast, and a small play area outside for children. Nice surroundings as you're surrounded by trees and can often see squirrels etc.

Speyside Centre is well worth a visit. The shop has an array of beautiful things for sale and the café food looks delicious...I can recommend the scones.Unfortunately I was only able to give it 3 stars because the sales assistant at the shop till lacked the friendliness and professionalism of the rest of the staff. I asked for a bag to put my purchases in, she put it on the counter, took my payment and walked away. I was left to fiddle with the difficult to open bag and pack my purchases. Not exactly the best way to treat customers!

It’s actually a garden centre and gift shop. Used to be called the heather centre. Nice cafe and gifts. Garden seating. Easy parking.

RIP - Speyside Heather Centre, replaced now with a generic, overpriced giftshop and café. Used to be a lovely garden centre years ago, plants now seem to be almost an after-thought. You could go anywhere in the home counties and find much the same bland format - you're hard pressed to appreciate you are even in Scotland. Very disappointing.

A warm and lively oasis in the heart of the Cairngorms! Inbetween two days of strenuous hikes, spending some time at the Speyside Centre allows you to refill your batteries with great energy and get some mementos to make your memories from your holiday last until you return once more. We had delicious food at the cafe, found (and bought!) lots of heather, good books and scented candles, enjoyed a pleasant talk with the knowledgeable and friendly staff, especially the kind lady at the register and the young gentleman caring for the plants. We return to the area since 2009 and love to see how the Centre evolved. Looking forward to next year!

hi Craig, thanks for your reply , if you ask your staff about the disabled woman they turned away for tea and cake AFTER I asked the woman at the desk if we had time and she said we did but only for that , we proceed to get my mum out of car and got as far the entrance to the coffee bit. And were turned away , this was at 3.45 .we would have been fine with the no before we got my mum out , was so angry at your staff , we have used your establishment many many times and it's the first time we have any problem , think some of your staff need a quick course in customer care .

We found Speyside Centre's cafeteria overpriced for poor quality food. Was extremely disappointed with the salmon and cream cheese bagel, more cream cheese than bagel and salmon that was more like a paste. Would not recommend

What a lovely wee stop on our trip up north, great selection of local products at decent prices, the restaurant was nice and busy with what looked like lovely food we sadly had lunch plans. The garden centre has great variety and a nice wee squirrel/bird viewing area.We bought a couple of nice bottles of whisky from the selection they had again very reasonably priced.

Although clearly a great garden centre and gift shop, The Speyside Centre makes an excellent stop for travellers. We broke our journey here, as we needed a break and some lunch. We were also able to take the dog which is amazing on a warm day, we had the choice to have him indoors in the restaurant or outside in the sitouterie. The food was excellet, nice portions of freshly made food and a good seletion of gluten free options, including cake! Our 5 year old was able to stretch his legs in the play park area too. Just perfect! ?
