Pie n Scottish salad (chips) anyone? If that’s what you want, in a great little boozer, you can’t go wrong here. Craig is refreshingly genuine and blunt. Love it.

High Street Merchants

Had a meal here last Saturday evening and it was just fabulous. Starter, main course and dessert as good as any I’ve had anywhere and better than most. The venison ragu and the halibut main courses were faultless. All that coupled with the overall ambience, service and the general concept was, in my opinion, perfect.
Can’t wait to visit again when I’m next in Grantown.

The Wee Puffin

Very cosy, cute place with delicious food! Also a huge compliment to the lovely personnel - despite it being very busy (we got lucky and got a table without reservations) our waitress remained very attentive, warm and patient. Definitely a big recommendation!

Speyside Centre

Nice garden centre with gift shop and cafe. Scones and cakes were nice. They also sell clootie dumpling, a traditional Scottish speciality pudding but it sounded a bit rich for afternoon cake. You can buy one for later in the shop though.

Grantown Diner & Takeaway

Amazing! We go regularly. The food is always great. Good burgers, love the loaded fries and the nachos are different in a good way! The staff are very friendly, especially when we're normally there near closing! Highly recommend!

Po Pia Thai Cuisine

We got a sizeable takeaway from here while in the area for the week. Booked a slot via Facebook which was easy to do.
The lady in the restaurant was veryfriendly. The food was very good, hot and tasty! Would recommend as it seems to be the best takeaway option in the town.

Muckrach Country House

Took a group of guests here for a 1 night stay. Absolutely beautiful place, service was outstanding and staff were very professional and friendly 5*

Clootie Dumpling Restaurant Ltd Within the Speyside Centre

We had a wonderful Mother's Day High Tea at the Speyside Centre. There were 6 of us, including 2 children, and everything was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, beautiful homemade scones and the service was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful, even preparing a special high tea for the children, which was such a lovely touch! After our meal, we took a walk around the nursery and enjoyed browsing the beautiful plants. The whole place is just stunning. We had a lovely afternoon and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend a visit there!

Claymore Bar

A night away in the campervan in Grantown and a first time in The Claymore..
Made more than welcome by the locals who we had a great chat and laugh with ,brilliant bar staff ( they actually went out to get dog treats for our 2 dogs!) who were on the ball the entire time we were there .
A great place to sit down, meet new folk and have a few pints and a blether ,what's not to like ????

The Royal Fish Bar

Food is cooked to order, so there is a delay in getting your order but it’s worth the wait for top quality tasty food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of benches in the square to sit and enjoy your meal.

Sylhet Brasserie

Visited during Christmas break. This is an authentic Indian restaurant with bold, traditional flavours. The chapati was excellent — fresh, soft, and one of the highlights of the meal. The main course was very rich in spices and quite hot. If you’re not used to spicy food, it’s definitely better to tell them in advance to make it mild, as the default level is very spicy, if you are Indian tourist and craving for Indian food you will be satisfied here for sure.

The food overall was near to decent, but the service was just okay and could be improved. Overall, a good place for authentic Indian cuisine, especially if you enjoy strong flavours and well-made chapati

The Craiglynne Hotel

Old building with lots of charm, good food, relaxing places to meet and chat, staff helpful and accomodating. Not much to the town but close to tourist sites. Would stay there again.
