“Great food, reasonably priced. Can get busy during peak times so best to book. We have been a few times, always had a nice meal. A few GF and vegan options.”

“Popped in today with my cousin from South Africa. This is a pub that our fathers and grandfather would have drunk in. He wanted to see where his dad came from. We asked the bar tender about the history of the place. She was lovely and informative. She gave my cousin a free pen and bottle opener with the pub logo on. What a lovely touch. Thank you so much.”

“Vegetables with the steak pie could have done with a bit longer in the pot, as were a bit under done, and would have like boiled or roast potatoes rather than mashed potato served as not everyone's favorite choice.
And I thought the steak had to much fat left on it, which i don't like a lot of and puts me off this kind of dish.
So marked it down one star for this reason

“People make a pub. Sharon and Louise are the loveliest bar staff this side of Vegas. Friendly, knowledgeable and can you belive it, witty. They along with Stacey (we will get back to her) make a Wednesday, my weekend so worth while I do shifts, so look forward to a wee pony or 10 in the Green Oak The characters make Still Game a bit lame. If you asked for '2 pints prick' not only will you get 2 pints, but a fortunes worth of comedy back at you. I won't lie, this is a working man's pub full of character and charm, with many a live act throughout the week My highlight being karaoke/play your cards right, with Stacey. I did say we would get back to her. What a brilliant time, reads the room, forgets who's next, forgets who's singing last, laughs along with the singer, patient, encourageble (yes a big work word for greeonck) and has a right good laugh. Really, fantastic. I'm proud to call it my local. Have such a great time when I'm there and can't praise all the amazing staff highly enough. Thanks guys xx”

“A lovely, homely pub grub place that is quickly becoming one of my favourite places.
Excellent food with a good choice of different dishes, today had a chicken toastie and was delicious. Never had a bad meal here so far.
Lovely and pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff.
With it being right near the Greenock west train station its very easy to get to, a nice stop and rest. Highly recommend you visit them for a great meal!”
