New owners have taken over and the food is lovely.

This place is closing because the owner has been unable to get customers and has decided enough is enough. It must be difficult because it's out in the country and beer and food are cheaper from the supermarkets I guess. The owner has tried by putting on a few events that weren't very well attended because unfortunately he sent a whinging letter to everyone in the village saying it was the residents fault his business was failing because they weren't supporting him.Eh?, no wonder no one will go to the place lol, no matey, it's entirely YOUR fault.Nothing interesting about the venue, overpriced and dull. The locals hate it.Walkability: Unless you live in the village you need to drive there.

Absolutely superb place with excellent food ??

Very good food. A notch above normal pub grub. Pity it was empty on a Saturday evening. Would thoroughly recommend for a very good evening meal at reasonable prices.

Late lunchNachos for two very nice layered chilli and cheese with three dips awesome when the chilli and cheese is all the way through the chips instead of just dumped on top ? I would Def have them again.Steak pie with potatoes top effort great taste and lovely veg.Lamb and mint burger ? just a slight hint of mint so you know it's there and not too over powering very nice.We will Def be back to try more of the menuThank you Anglers Inn

Wouldn’t serve us despite having around 20 tables free. I asked again if they wouldn’t mind serving us and was told very sternly the answer was no.

Lovely little place. We were staying up the road at beech hedge caravan park so decided to venture the 5 minutes to anglers inn. Huge portions. Great value for money. We were lucky to get there before the "kids eat free" ended so that saved us nearly £20 on the bill which was brilliant! Our waitress (sorry I didn't get your name, our son threw a spoon to you from under the chair) was brilliant! Would definitely visit again if in the area! So reasonably priced for the amount of food you get and plenty on the menu for everyone

Unfortunately we were turned away at 15:50 despite only one table in the restaurant being accupied. We were told this was because they had a lot of bookings coming in (which is a bit hard to believe at 4pm).All we wanted was soup and could have been in and out in 15 minutes, but nobody asked what we wanted, or explained anything. The worst part is just the short attitude of the staff. If some cannot talk to people reasonably then perhaps find others who can.
