We have been coming here for take aways for a few years now it has never been great but generally better than the other take aways available , but the Prices have gone up quite considerably and the quality of the food is now dire !! ordered food yesterday and was shocked at the price , when serving out ,the dishes looked revolting !! Chicken curry was so pale in colour obviously watered the sauce down and it was spot the chicken? it should have been oinion curry ! it was awful and went in the bin ! Chicken Chow Mein was also dire , the chicken was so dry and the meal bland ! We will never use again !

Very disappointing dinner. Used to eat here quite regularly but hadn’t been back for a while. It’s always been lacking in atmosphere as it obviously catered mainly to take aways but the food was pretty good. Not any more. Bland, tasteless and expensive. Won’t be back

Staff are really nice, great service. Food is fairly good. There's quite a big price difference between dining in and take away, we expected more in terms of presentation and quality when sitting down.

The good news was the speed of service service and quantity of the meal but the bad news is that it was bland and pricy. Sorry to say, but the Chinese sauces you get out of supermarkets have more flavour. I didn't pay but on reviewing the bill later I was appalled that we were charged £8.40 for one small pot of tea with no top up offered.

We had a sit in meal celebrating mums birthday.The China Garden is a wee restaurant, it's fairly nice decorated, well used.We ordered various dishes, beginning with Chicken noodle soup and ribs, all very nice.The main dishes were well presented, large bowl of rice to share among us. Everything was brought out piping hot.All the portions were on the large side, I can understand why, most people like a good amount, we ate as much as we could, whilst trying to save room for desert.Overall a enjoyable evening, good company, good food.4/5?Vegetarian options: Lots of veg with the chickenKid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed the foodParking: Usually 2 or 3 on street parking, plus additional parking at the Dr's SurgeryWheelchair accessibility: All on ground level
Takeaway ordered as our local has gone downhill but this was even worse and arrived 30 mins after the delivery window (so worst case +30min). Expensive, food bland and awful quality, charges for crackers and chips floppy and cold. Both dishes were thrown away and our side order sauce was like a pot of oil. Would not recommend.

The restaurant was very cold ? ❄️? even the staff wear bodywarmers. Drivers for food delivery use the side door next to the kitchen to leave the building, and all the cold air comes flooding into the eating area. Plates weren't very warm when we were served at the table , so food got colder quickly. It wasn't very pleasant watching the delivery drivers arriving through the front door march passed you as you're eating. This is a lovely building that could be easily separated into a takeaway area and restaurant at the rear, which would help keep the heat they do have in the building. keeping the takeaway team from the restaurant. The tables are not set up for nice dining , you are placed only at an empty table with no cutlery, and I had to ask for condiments . It's a bit like I would expect in a cafe .

Food arrived 45 mins late and cold. Not what I expect when paying £6.50 for delivery.Despite leaving written instructions on how to get to my property ( which apparently the drivers don’t bother to read) and speaking directly with the first driver he took my order back to the takeaway. The second driver also struggled to find me, again didn’t read the clear directions I had given. The food arrived 45 mins late ( almost 1 hour after being cooked ). It was cold, the chips and pancake rolls were soggy. I won’t be using this restaurant again.

So whilst the food to be fair is nice,we had to ring as we were missing parts of our order so customer service was beyond rude,she admitted it was still there(our missing food that was already paid for) but couldn't say when it would be delivered and refused to offer a refund.Really rude and like I say poor customer service out of pocket and food
