Needs to be refurbished, and to a much higher target standard. Looks tired, and has been fitted out badly with uneven tiling, swathes of silicon sealer, and lots of poor finishes suggesting the lowest bidder won the contract and then cut every possible corner

Believe the reviews. It really is as bad as people say. £195 for a night for 3 of us and it was grim. Mouldy bathroom, no WIFI, tired decor etc. One positive is we were on the road at 7am as we were happy to leave!

I was charge for service I didn’t get… I called and called no one picked the phone or reply to their email. They were just happy to take the money and careless of what happen after. I didn’t show up and not even a follow up message or calls from them.

The hotel staff were very attentive. We needed a hairdryer and they responded straight away. It was very close to the sporting event that my son was competing the British National Junior rowing championship so near the Rowwing Club. It was very ideal because it was just a few minutes walk to the event.

Not a welcoming place, towels were clean and bedding was clean if you didn't mind sharing with earwigs. But rest of roo. was filthy and entire room was dated, worn out and in desperate need of a lick of paint. Bathroom was filthy with an odour of stale urine. The heated towel rail was broken and condemned. All taped up with a warning sticker on it but no warning on the switch to turn it on which was outside the bathroom door. Lighting is really poor. Staff seem uninterested. Even though i was friendly and polite. Kettle was all dusty and I didn't want to use it. Paid £258 to stay for two nights (Friday and Saturday) and literally wish I hadn't bothered. The managers name is up on the board in reception foyer but I asked about her and was told she no longer works there and is now the manager in Costa and no ody could tell me who the new manager is. I didn't raise complaint as I looked at reviews (sadly not until I arrived) and realised it would be futile. Shocked that it has any positive reviews. Wanted to stay in Scotland for a third night and gave Days Inn another chance and booked into the one at Annandale services which was nothing like this one so it's not the company itself. I think the bosses need to go in and see for themselves. The services that it is attached to is very small and only has costa which closes early and a Mcdonalds and a WHSMITH. The petrol station has a Spar which isn't very big but staff in there were lovely. If you do have to stay here I'd advise taking your own toilet paper because I've not seen paper thar thin since tracing paper at school. I'll never stay here again

I picked this hotel as it was central to where I needed to be for working. When I arrived after a long journey, check in was slow. I stayed for 2 nights. The wifi did not work the whole time I was there, which meant I could not work once I had finished the job I was on. The bathroom was horrible, didn't feel nice at all and was so old and marked. Went to wash my hair and the shampoo was completely empty which I only found out once I was already in the shower... Hairdryer smelt like it was burning and again was so old. It did singe my hair so stopped using it. The room was okay, beds were fine. Hallway smelt of weed. As a lone female traveller, I didn't feel great about being here if I'm honest, which is a feeling I haven't experienced before. I wouldn't have minded but for £213 for 2 nights (£107 per night) I would have expected it to be a bit nicer, but even the basics weren't there. Sadly means I wouldn't go back, which is a shame because I work away a lot, and having an electric car I often stay in hotels at services for ease of charging.

When you only need a bed for the night this is the hotel to stay at because you not only get a bed, you get so much more for your money... a great experience from a welcoming team... and access to local amenities...

What a great store. Friendly staff. And a manager who goes the extra mile for their customers. Been going here since opening and the consistency of service is second to none. The manager Karen is an absolute star. Pride in her business and customer focused. Five star.

I live locally, so I come here weekly. I am 38 weeks pregnant and walking helps bring on labour. Went to the shops, my mum wanted to stop for coffee and I was experiencing some contractions. So, went to Costa and my mum asked me to sit down while she went to the restroom. On her way back, I went to order some drinks as she doesn't speak English, on my way to the till I got stopped by the manager, Karen, who said:"next time you need to respect the system. You can't sit down and use the toilets without getting drinks first." | said: "I understand that, but my mum doesn't speak English and I was having contractions so had to sit down. I am gonna go and get coffees now". She rolled her eyes and replied saying that if I was having contractions, I should have not been out. Now - I do not need to justify myself to anyone, so I really don’t understand why the entitlement on her part to share her opinion on my condition. Contractions are not predictable and her lack of empathy and knowledge bloody shows how ignorant she is. Went to get ourselves drinks and complained to another staff member about her and this staff member said "Karen is like this”. Aye, she's is like this and somebody needs to tell her. I had another chat with Karen and Karen never apologised and kept saying that I should've been home and that I need to be aware of the system. 20 mins later, Karen asked a group of teenagers to leave their table so that her friends could sit down. They sat down, without ordering drinks. Said that to Karen and Karen had the cheek of saying that she put their order through for them. MASSIVE LACK OF EMPATHY AND PROBABLY THE WORST MANAGER I HAVE EVER MET.

I was struggling to find a place to stay near where I had to work. Everything was booked up but I happened upon Days Inn. The roadworks are a nightmare (depending on time of day) but once you are in it is easy with loads of parking.Staff were lovely and a few sneaky tips of how to go out avoiding the roadworks were most welcome! I just was amazed at how friendly the staff were at all hours. Having Costa, WHSmith, 24hr MacDonalds and service station was really helpful. Unexpectly good stay!!

Coming from Glasgow direction You have to continue pass the hotel for another 2 miles as there’s no access on the other side of the M74 but the McDonald’s and Costa was a bonus. Windows need cleanings

I booked a wheelchair accessible room when I got there I told in a nasty addatude "the room was not available it was damaged 12months ago, you'll have to go somewhere else" absolute ignorant staff who didn't care about me sitting in a wheelchair.
