The food, service ( from all staff) and the atmosphere are absolutely first class .We managed to get in two nights on the trott and it was so worth it!It's been along time since you can go somewhere and have fabulous food like this ....not forgetting Franco the owner

Fantastic food and service at Locanda Romana. We were only staying in Hawick for one night - hadn't thought to book and it was full, but the proprietor suggested we came back in an hour. We returned to a really friendly welcome, great service and truly delicious food. I'm only sorry we don't live closer so we could return on a regular basis. This place is a gem.

Visiting Hawick for a few days, went to this restaurant for our evening meal. Mid week in January so not surprised to see few other diners. Service was great and very friendly and the food was delicious. Happy to recommend to everyone!

Really good food, happy and enjoyable atmosphere, great service and all at a reasonable price. I had the special tonight, tagliatelle al tartufo, with Italian sausage and black truffles with cream. Absolutely delicious. Thank you to Franco and his team for making it so special for my wife's 75th birthday. We'll be back.
