Sultaans Contemporary Indian Restaurant
4, Station Buildings, HawickWe order a takeaway regularly from Sultaan’s and the food is of consistently high standard. There is a good variety of dishes; some I hadn’t encountered at other southern Asian restaurants.
What distinguishes Sultaan’s is the impressive level of service. Orders are always delivered within the hour, sometimes within half an hour, even at peak times. We are regulars and are made to feel valued. The person who I assume is manager or owner is friendly and professional, and teases me about sticking to our favourite order; he also includes free starters on occasion.
On the occasion we received the wrong dish, which could have been caused by a mispronunciation, we were sent the correct dish promptly (before we’d finished starters), along with a bottle of beer.
You are unlikely to find a more welcoming and accommodating establishment.

Teviot Cres, HawickSlightly problem when we arrived as our booking couldn't be found but this was sorted we were seated and quickly received menus ordered our drinks thinner food. Lovely meal then sweets. Very nice we will be back.

15 Kenilworth Ave, Hawick2hr wait for cold, soggy food which was also not what we ordered! Two calls chasing it and the guy only blamed the single delivery driver for taking his time, not even an apology - definitely won't be back, which is a shame as it used to be good...

16 High St, HawickHad to book a table which is always a good sign. I had the lamb neck and my wife had the steak. It was truly an amazing meal. Probably the best I've had in a restaurant. The menu caters for all tastes so if you're in Hawick or just passing, get yourself here, you definitely won't be disappointed.

Oh my goodness, what a treat!
I had a ham salad filled roll and my other half had the tuna mayo salad, they were both packed full of fillings, delicious and fresh.
We also treated ourselves to a wee cake, the biscof brownie was so tasty, I couldn’t stop eating it and I don’t have much of a sweet tooth.
Highly recommend a visit if you’re in this neck of the woods x

11 Sandbed, HawickWow. Absolutely delicious food. Visiting Hawick for a night and popped in here and was definitely not disappointed. Food was freshly cooked, good portions and tasty! Probably one of the best chicken burgers I've ever had. Also very fairly priced. But worth noting that if ordering in person it is cash only.
The honey chicken burger with parmesan and truffle fries.

1 Westside, Denholm, HawickWe went to The Denholm Meet at lunchtime on a weekday. First of all, they do not have customer parking and finding a parking spot was a little difficult. The interior is very nice with lovely old style decor. It is a Cafe/Restaurant but it felt more like a cafe along with a restaurant meal menu. There is a good selection of Italian dishes on offer although the prices are quite steep. However, the food was superb. Service was nice but a bit hurried. Overall, it was very good.

2B Sandbed, HawickOur second visit to this lovely traditional Italian establishment, great food & staff, handy for us motorhomes on the Victoria Road car park night stop. You need to phone & book in advance as it's very popular with local people. Try to walk in for a table you'll be unlucky. Food is prepared fresh & priced fairly.

My mum loved the pizza. The burgers were literally melting in the mouth, didn't know a beef burger could taste like heaven!
Great service and the place has an antique look to it which add to the experience.

Takeout so not much comment on service but always friendly in phone and in person. Prices don't always match with menu prices so confirm when ordering and paying cash.

Football & sports on TV and great beers on tap. If you're walking home, don't have more than one "Fletchers Special" (a secret recipe)! Thanks Jake & team! See you again.
