What Santa Marina Italian Restaurant lacks in customer care it makes up for in the authentic taste of Italian food The pizza is okay which presents unusually and refreshingly with a naturally tasting pasta sauce, but could do with a little more flavour for the Margherita. The cheesecake looks authentic and certainly worth a treat. The Coffee is strong and full of aroma for its fine coffee beans. The staff could have asked if everything was okay and a missed opportunity makes a lot of difference for returning patrons. Young male bar staff too over friendly and could learn etiquette about distance. Otherwise the staff were reasonably friendly. The decor is attractive and the space is accordingly generous between free standing tables and the scenery bordering cheery with an authentic Italian restaurant look. Price of meals is not expensive for the menu

My friends and I recently went to this restaurant for the first time. It was a wonderful experience, and we were served by a delightful young man with a tremendous mullet. We believe he said he was from Musselburgh but we never caught his name. The only disappointment of this experience is we never got his social media. Hit us up, Mullet Man! You’re great!

Top class restaurant with a nice family vibe. The staff were extremely attentive and the food was excellent. I would struggle to find fault.

Great food, wine and service from warm and welcoming staff. A genuine little bit of Italy in Hawick, we will definitely be back!

We were attending a concert in Hawick and looking for somewhere to eat beforehand. Quite a few places to go to in Hawick but very glad we chose this restaurant. From entering to leaving, attentive but not intrusive service, great selection on the menu to choose from. We had starters and pizzas - very enjoyable. Great value for money and would definitely recommend and visit again.

Whilst this is local to us two, following the AGM for the Campaign for Borders Rail we were part of a party of 15 who booked a meal here at the end of October. The remaining 13 guests were not from Hawick, being from London, Blackpool, York, Perth, Edinburgh, Carlisle to name a few and they were all much impressed with the venue. The food, service, staff and attention to detail for us all was great and they were most complimentary about the whole evening. So well done to all at Santa Marina, you created the right ambience for such a large party and particularly to those from outwith Hawick who indicated they would return if in the town again

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The pizza was absolutely fantastic! The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The combination of flavors was truly mouthwatering. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. I highly recommend trying their pizza – it's definitely one of the best I've had. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I would happily repeat. Well done, and keep up the great work!

Very good service, food very nice but quite salty, atmosphere spoilt by noise from kitchen. Someone has their mobile phone on and was clearly chatting on a personal video call. We were sitting quite a way away from the kitchen area but it was very intrusive. Quite a lot of shouting too from this area. Food tasted fresh and was well presented but my pizza was really very salty. The starters were very nice. We had not been to Santa Marina in some while and were a bit disappointed sadly. The staff were very professional and friendly, can’t fault the service but the other issues put a dampener on our meal. Not sure we would return in a hurry.Parking: Car park about a 10 minute walk away which is pay and display and there is on street parking if you can find a space. It’s a town, ,ost towns don’t have their own parking for businesses

I’ve visited this Italian restaurant since it opened many years ago. The quality of the food is to the highest standard, always piping hot and decent portions. They also cater extremely well for coeliacs and also have a children’s menu. Always made to feel very welcome and they also make a nice fuss of any children present. Comfortable booths are often available. Good selection of cocktails and also have Birra Moretti on draft. Prices affordable and the wine list is also reasonably priced. A beer garden is available when the weather is decent. Can highly recommend

Went here for my daughters birthday meal. Great atmosphere, great food and the people are so welcoming and friendly even when you have 3 small children. Love this place!
