My wife and I went in here for a mocha and an earl grey tea, £10.40 !!Really!! Very expensive just for a couple of small hot drinks, hard to justify prices like that for something that really should cost £6/7 max , especially when they don’t even give white sugar to have with the tea , only brown sugar or sweetener?Very pretentious!

Top notch food!!! ??Exquisite food and drinks for Christmas Day!!! Well worth the money!!! Fantastic atmosphere, great company from all diners sitting at other tables and staff were very attentive. Really made our Christmas Day very festive - brought lots of cheer and Ho! Ho! Ho!????

We sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone came to ask what we would like to eat. The waitress then had her own meal, after which we were then served our order, after having waited another 20 minutes. Very poor service with lack of attentive staff. We will not visit the Sugar Boat again.

On this occasion service was very slow. Not sure what the issue was but we were not in a hurry so just went with it. Food when it did arrive was fantastic.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sugar Boat. The room was well-designed, spotless and the bed was super comfy. The shower was great and there were some extra features like a kettle, a selection of teas, ground coffee, and two freshly baked shortbread cookies. I had dinner at their bistro with their soup of the day (red cabbage with sour cream), accompanied by crispy and buttery sourdough bread. At breakfast, I wanted to try their porridge and it was scrumptious. The quality of each ingredient was high, portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable. The staff were kind and easy-going. I definetely recommend Sugar Boat and hope to return soon.

Went for a last minute dinner midweek and had a great wee dinner. Nice menu with plenty of good choices. Selection of wine and cocktails also very good and the service from the staff is excellent.

We had a lovely meal. 1st class ingredients cooked beautifully. Excellent service. I had the fish and risotto and my husband had the filet steak.
A fantastic place to stay and very dog friendly. Lovely clean rooms and nice additional features. All staff were excellent., welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant for our evening meal was delicious and lots of great breakfast options too. Fantastic location we will definitely come back. Only one observation for our room was when my husband was looking under the bed for his glasses, it was very very dusty.

Went to Sugar Boat after a lovely walk along the shoreline. Menu looks great, but they also have small plates, which is perfect for lunch. We both decided on Caesar salad ,delicious , and chips taste. We also had tea, which comes in the most beautiful teapot, and made with real tea.Staff were friendly and chatty. We are planning our return visit soon.

Had a fantastic lunch at the Sugar Boat. Amazing Moules Frites - best I've had in a very long time. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food - Cullen Skink, Chicken Ceaser Salad and Fish and Chips all excellent. Lovely place to eat, good value and friendly staff - would highly recommend.
