Great cafe in the local park. We went for the roast pork dinner and it was delicious, even the vegetables (which I normally find boring in a roast). Would highly

A very nice little cafe to visit and eat while the kids play at the park. The food we had was good, however, the wait was absurdly long.We waited an hour for our food! I really wanted to give a better review, but we almost walked out after waiting for so long and getting zero feedback from staff.Obviously it is understaffed during busy lunch times. So much potential and can be corrected by getting a few more people working over busy times.

I'll be honest, I consider myself a foodie. Now hold on, I know that the term can be taken in the pejorative but I promise that I'm not a snob. I appreciate a dirty, late night pizza from a 24 hour joint just as much as an authentic wood-fired neopolitan that can be eaten wallet-fold style. With that out of the way, I have to tell you that I love a good roast dinner. Oftentimes, even if it doesn't quite hit the mark in one way or another (not enough veg, under- or over-cooked meat, tasteless gravy, you get the idea) on the whole it will still be better than the sum of it's parts. That's not to say it's easy to make a good roast dinner its just that the truly great ones have to really stand out. With that point made, the roast dinners we had there just yesterday afternoon (me: pork loin, her: veg wellington) weren't good. Honestly. They weren't even very good. They were absolutely astounding and mine was easily the best roast dinner I've ever had. Everything single element was better than amazing. The carrot were beautifully flavoured: enough maple to get the sweetness without being cloyingly so; the savoury thyme balancing it out perfectly. Roasties were incredibly moreish but not used to hide the fact that there wasn't enough other veg (there was plenty!). Broccoli tender but still with enough bite, just enough beautifully cooked meat...and the gravy! This isn't proper gravy as it's labelled by the chef. It sets the bar too high. It's superlative gravy. I won't gush about my partner's veggie wellington as I've gone on enough but it was amazing to see care and attention to detail going into a veggie roast dinner. Ridiculously good veggie option which even a meat lover would enjoy. The chef here really, really knows his food. It is phenomenal and I will say that it has to be the best available in Helensburgh (and we have some fantastic options here). It is food to get properly excited about and deserves to be noticed. I won't say everything is perfect with the cafe/restaurant, however, but I don't think it's fair to mention where improvements could be made as I'm sure that the staff here are aware of the short-comings; many of which are out of their control. If you love incredible food you have to eat here. All the food we've had here is great but the Sunday Roast dinners are the best you will have ever have. Guaranteed.

We had a lovely lunch this afternoon. The staff and service were excellent. I would highly recommend The Park Pavilion and we will definitely be back.

Highly recommend this hidden gem of a place. Went in to get coffee and a wee cake, ended up us all getting a meal. I had the Sunday Roast and it was so tasty, beef was perfect. There was 6 of us in and each of us had empty plates. 2 of us had smoothies and the girls said nicest smoothies they have had in a long time. All the staff 1 girl, 1 boy and owner (I think) were all so accommodating and nothing was a hassle. We have already recommended the cafe and cannot wait to come back to try it during the week or a Fri or Sat night. Thank you

One person working so she serves a few people then disappears to make food then comes back to serve drinks then back to make food. The food was vile and very overpriced.

Vietnamese evening, the meat/seafood element was nice enough, but I found the soggy broccoli disappointingly limp. Maybe that is the way of Vietnam? No carbs to be found in either the starter or main I had. Nuvo cuisine sort of portion size perhaps? The banana dessert took forever to arrive, but was also nice enough. The 2 course's + single dessert, wine and 10% tip came to £90 for two persons.Walking down to the front, I was tempted to get some chips as we passed the chipper. Got home and took a Hall's Haggis tatties and neeps ready meal out of the fridge and scoffed it down. Moral of the story? Eat before you go to enjoy the meal, which as I said earlier, taste wise, was nice enough.

Food was nice but VERY EXPENSIVE. Very limited menu too. £2.50 to add two tiny potato scones to a bacon roll ?

Inventive, varied and delicious cooking across a series of small plates that worked for sharing but that met the appetite. My only issue was I couldn’t quite manage to try everything on what was clearly a carefully curated selection because they’re not that small! Fantastic value for money for a high quality culinary experience.
