We came in for lunch due to the reviews and it is really as described. Amazing Fish'n Chips accompanied with a close service. A must if you are on the NC500 trip!

Visiting from California. Had an amazing time at La Mirage. The food was fresh and delicious but what really made the visit special was the friendly staff and owner. We will definately be back to visit!

La Mirage has undergone new ownership with a fresh new look but still retaining many of its original quirky attributes that makes La Mirage the place to visit. It’s new owner was delightful and had the exact amount of interaction with us to make us feel at ease without being intrusive. The food did not disappoint …. Generous portions but the most light and delicious batter and chips to die for, all freshly cooked with the freshest of fish. We would certainly recommend to go out of your way and seek out this Northern Gem.

After doing an 80 mile round trip to la mirage for years for fish and chips todays trip was poor Dry tasteless non crispy chips 40% less food Generally poorly cooked food Try going back to the old cooking oil A shock to the system will be looking closer to home

The most fantastic Restaurant, The North of Scotlands Premier Restaurant, was greeted by Don and Barron. Food and attention to detail absolutely fantastic, great quality, beautifully cooked and presentation superb, thank you Don. Customer Service and Customer Focus on point, goes above and beyond.

We stayed in Brora but made 2 special trips to la Mirage on 2 different visits to the area ..it has a takeaway attached. A bit expensive but large portions beautifully presented. Food and service impeccable

Everything deep fried. The menu was quite expensive but when the food arrived the portions were massive. The low rating was more to do with odd decor and atmosphere as well as the strange meals that we received. One of our party ordered chicken and half a deep fried chicken came out with peas, coleslaw, beetroot, salad and chips, so far so good, the oddity was the deep fried pineapple, deep fried banana, a slice of tinned peach and a single glacier cherry. The whole experience was a bit odd and the amount of deep fried food just wasn't for us. Plus side, it was the only place open and we were seated straight away.
