We stopped in this village on the way up to John o Groats and on the way down. We thought we would try a different cafe to the first visit and we were delighted.To call the staff here friendly would be an understatement, they were fab giving out local knowledge and places to stop on our long journey back to inverness.Tasty bacon and sausage sandwhich.Vegetarian breakfast options available. The best restaurant in Helmsdale. We were in town for three days and ate there twice. The dishes are very tasty, freshly prepared and cooked with love. The chef and waitress are super nice, we felt very comfortable. We would have gone a third time, but unfortunately it was closed. Keep it up!

We came here for dinner by chance and very pleasantly surprised. We had the shepards pie and pudding for dessert. This was our first stop on our Scottish holiday and set the bar very high. We loved the use of local produce and would highly recommend.
