Superb wee cafe. Excellent service and fabulous cakes and scones (and a much bigger menu than just cakes).. A reason to visit Helmsdale - and pop into the excellent ‘outdoor’ shop opposite which has a fabulous range of gins and whisky and a small but beautifully curated selection of gifts/clothing.

We came here for dinner by chance and very pleasantly surprised. We had the shepards pie and pudding for dessert. This was our first stop on our Scottish holiday and set the bar very high. We loved the use of local produce and would highly recommend.

We stopped in this village on the way up to John o Groats and on the way down. We thought we would try a different cafe to the first visit and we were delighted. To call the staff here friendly would be an understatement, they were fab giving out local knowledge and places to stop on our long journey back to inverness.Tasty bacon and sausage sandwhich.Vegetarian breakfast options available. A lovely oat milk cappuccino. Cash only due to technical problems but this was clearly displayed. The home made cakes looked fab too.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian breakfast options, dairy alternatives available.Parking: Free on road parking as well as free parking spaces a short walk away.

Fabulous food and service. Chicken satay skewers with tasty rice , followed by a sticky toffee pudding floating in sauce. Would definitely recommend. Dog friendly.

The best restaurant in Helmsdale. We were in town for three days and ate there twice. The dishes are very tasty, freshly prepared and cooked with love. The chef and waitress are super nice, we felt very comfortable. We would have gone a third time, but unfortunately it was closed. Keep it up!

This is a small, almost intimate restaurant, just quiet background music with pleasant and helpful staff. The food was excellent, served hot and extremely well presented. The restaurant offers a fixed price menu which had a varied choice and was really great value, especially given the quality of the food. I would have given a higher rating but our evening was let down by the fact that, despite booking for 7-30, we were not shown to our table until 7-45. Would I return, absolutely.

Brilliant little cafe/restaurant. Visited on spec on a Friday evening and it was fully booked out! Got a take away fish and chips chich was delicious. Returned the next morning for coffee and a bacon roll. Bacon roll was soon good I ordered a second and for £3 why wouldn't you!

I am so pleased to have across this cute cafe while I was travelling in Scotland for the first one.Their scones were fresh out of the over and the coffee is to die for. Also sausage rolls was delicious too. And everything came for a reasonable price. This cafe is a gem!

Excellent food, cooked to order. I had the fresh crab which was delicious. S had the steak pie, with broccoli & carrots. All delicious. This is a small restaurant, with not a lot of room between tables and I do wonder why people have to bring their dogs in! I am also on holiday and I don't want to be eating my meal with a dog around my feet and legs. I can understand why the restaurant owners allow it, as they need the customers, but why can't people leave their dogs somewhere else for a couple of hours?
