“Having arrived after braving floodwaters in the wake of Storm Babet and horizontal pelting rain at Culloden, we were desperate for some good food. Rocpool’s offerings are based on local ingredients with a very fine method of preparation which brings out the best in the individual parts. Every dish was exquisitely made and presented - of special note was the duck ragu papardelle which would expect to find in a high quality restaurant in Rome. Would 100% recommend to anyone after a quality feed in Inverness.”

“Only popped in for a drink but was warmly welcomed by the staff, including a treat and fuss for our dog. Drinks were reasonably priced and the menu looked inviting but we'd only popped in for a wee drink/dram. Warm atmosphere from the staff and decor.”

“Busy bar with a huge range of their own beers on tap plus a really good pizza offering too. Sociable staff, good food and beer, plus there's a secret terrace up top apparently! The rooms are decent too. Can't go wrong.”

“We had an amazing stay at Foyers house. The location is perfect for exploring nature, what a view of Loch Ness! The food was great with a good selection of different flavors, and the whisky selection is really impressive. Louise and Terry are great hosts, friendly and welcoming. In all, a stay at Foyers House is highly recommended!Rooms: The rooms are spacious, comfortable and really cozy.”

“Best food I ever had in a while. We had all the starters. The cauliflower carrot soup was warm creamy and very very yummy on a cold wet day. We had the best bruschetta it wasn't tomatoes but juicy creamy wild mushrooms. Had the mussels too it was the largest belly in a creamy buttery sauce. But we came for the haggis. It was 3 balls fried. Awesome a little spicy but the turnip cubes fried and fried onions were just the right accompaniment but the sauce under them was luscious. My mom loves her cappuccino it was decaf and great. The water was good tasting and if you follow me you know I'm a water snob. I like the water in Scotland. Come here and enjoy a great meal. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a small pub feel w a welcoming feel.”

“Fabulous little independent bar and restaurant just off the main street opposite the castle. We went twice - The cullen skink was lovely, as was the leek and potato soup, salmon and lamb. On the second visit my steak pie was delicious. but Mum's steak was tough & had to be returned. However the staff couldn't have been more helpful in dealing with it, and these things do happen occasionally. Overall - Fantastic food, great venue, reasonably priced food and drink. RECOMMENDED.”
