The lady who took our order was really nice and funny (she even convinced me to try a ginger beer drink!) The pizza weren't the best pizzas I've ever had but they were still delicious, and I highly recommend trying the cheese bread. Hou Hou Mei
18 Tomnahurich St, InvernessThis is a really great restaurant. My partner and I have visited three times now and always had a lovely experience. Our visits have been as a couple, in a smaller group and in a larger one.The setting inside the restaurant is relaxed and decorated in a vibrant, yet subtle way. Service has always been exemplary. A particularly strong example of this was during our most recent visit just over a week ago.Our main server was a young woman called Charlie. Despite her brand new status as a staff member (which came out in conversation with her) she served us in an exemplary fashion. She was attentive, patient, friendly and alert. She was also honest about her limitations in terms of product knowledge and referred us to a colleague for some of our queries. I feel new staff performing at this level is a strong indicator regarding the quality of this establishment. Simply excellent! The food is great, the highlight of this for me is the chocolate brownie with salted caramel miso sauce (pictured for reference). This is absolutely exquisite, and would likely be my death row dessert choice! The rest of the menu is solid also, with their own take on a few classics and a range of home made dim sum and other starters to get you going strongly.Anyone interested is best advised to book early to avoid disappointment. This place is popular, and with good reason. I recommend it highly, with three out of three perfect visits for us. Thanks to the team for these!

Which I do.

Bella Italia - Inverness
1 Bridge St, InvernessBella Italia thank you for given us somewhat of a momentary lull in the flavour free food that Scotland offers. This is a chain and there are 90 of them or so across the UK. It may be one of the few restaurant you’ll find in the UK who actually know what salt is! It’s not a wood fired margherita that my discriminatory palette is accustomed to so I’d recommend the pasta over the pizza options

Encore
5 Young St, InvernessVery nice pub, food was first class and the ambient was great. However, they took a bit to bring us the food and then they seemed they had forgotten about us. They didn’t offer us desserts and had to almost shout a waiter to bring us the bill. But I’d still come

The Mustard Seed Restaurant
16 Fraser St, InvernessNice food, visited mid week after booking. Service was good but seemed a little rushed and chaotic, staff slamming plates down but think more to do perhaps with weight of them? Also is there any need for those poor waiter girls to be carrying the boards around for specials? Just give us all a leaflet.Good food overall.

26 Bank St, InvernessCame into Johnny Foxes for tea tonight on an evening out in Inverness.Great decision. We've been before and as before the staff we're very efficient and super friendly. The food is delicious. My husband and I each had different burgers with crispy chips and coleslaw. Their food is made with quality ingredients. Can't be faulted.
