Sushiness
7 Lombard St, InvernessExcellent sushi restaurant. Small/intimate so great if you get a table. Different to your typical restaurant with more non-fish rolls on the menu than fish rolls such as lamb which isn’t for me! The crispy rolls are superb.
My only criticism would be the lack of nigiri (my kids love it) and tuna options. It would be good to see these on the menu.

Cafe One
75 Castle St, InvernessMy wife and I caught them on a bad night. Our service was inconsistent, at best. More frustrating for us - we watched three couples arrive after us, but get food service long before us. One of those couples was served dessert before we received our main courses. And we ordered the special. It took about 20 minutes after we finished dessert before we found a member of the wait staff to request our check. We waited another 10 minutes for someone to come by so we could actually pay the bill. Thoroughly frustrated, we walked our bill to the bar to pay. Despite all of the trials and tribulations with service, the food was excellent, and the setting is romantic. It's a beautiful restaurant.

27 Castle St, InvernessThe food and service here is so fantastic that we visited it twice during our short stay in Inverness. We highly recommend the haggis stuffed chicken with whisky cream sauce and black pudding mashed potatoes, the steak pie with potatoes, and the pan seared salmon. The quality of the dishes and the complexity of the flavors was sublime. The service was equally attentive! 5 stars!!

Thai Dining
85, Shire, 87 Academy St, InvernessWent to Thai Dining for early evening meal. Had no starters, but had the duck thai red curry, drunken noodles with beef and a side of prawn crackers.
Food was all good, especially the crispy duck in the curry. It added something to the dish. Drunken noodles were ok, nothing special, lacked any real punch.
Staff were attentive, food was served promptly and piping hot. Cost about £48 or so. Would definitely come back here, and would recommend it if you are in the mood for some nice Thai food.

Torrish at Ness Walk
12 Ness Walk, InvernessSome friends and I had an afternoon tea at Ness Walk. I have coeliac and had advised the receptionist when booking that there would be one gluten free. I also advised as I have coeliac I also can't eat gluten free oats, as I was aware there was an gf oaty base on one item. On arrival I reminded the server of this and yet the tray arrived and it was still on there, there was a few plates taken back and forward to the kitchen to double check items and eventually a gentleman server stepped in to see what the confusion was. This didn't fill me with confidence and having coeliac, eating out is a stressful time as trust has to be there with the restaurant that the food will not be contaminated etc, the end result would be me feeling very ill. Coeliac is not an intolerance or allergy.
I do feel disappointed by the experience and my friends were all feeling a bit awkward and I was trying not to make a fuss but it is hugely important.
I'm sure your chefs are very aware of coeliac and gluten free but I'm not sure how aware of the gf oats situation with coeliac people, many of us can't tolerate them at all.
I have eaten at your restaurant before and always felt fully confident about it hence why I took my friends there. I'm not sure I would be so confident another time.
The food I did eat was lovely and we had a nice time it was just spoiled by this confusion.

67 Church St, InvernessLoved the music and the haggis starter was great. Main meals were a bit small for the price and the chicken just tasted of pancetta. The White House
50 Union St, InvernessI guess this restaurant didnt meet my expectations for the price point and they may have been understaffed. I got the oven baked salmon and my wife got the risotto. My mistake for getting oven baked salmon because that typically precludes a medium rare temperature (pan seared is better for that). Oops I sent it back but it was still medium. Still flavorful and good presentation. I had a half beer of the Madri, Spanish lager, good if you like PBR or Bud. Switched to a 'American Style' Pale Ale, hoppy and not too full bodied. They didnt have any cask ale unfortunately. Auctioneers next door does. Took longer than expected to get service and I was surprised that she gave the bill and walked away. Most of the places I've visited so far bring the card scanner and the bill at the same time. Also this is the first restaurant in Scotland I've been to that didnt ask about allergies up front immediately. It had surprised us so much because that's not as common in the US. Enjoyable atmosphere with a late 80s early 90s Hip Hop. That's my jam.

34 Church St, InvernessI came here everyday while in Inverness for their Old Fashioned. The guy in the bar really showed passion while preparing the cocktail. The place is a cozy little bar, with a few seats available- in a welcoming and charming atmosphere. It was perfect to finish the day and get ready for dinner, while enjoying a nice drink. Their whiskey selection is massive and their cocktail list is for every taste. They also have beer and wine. It doesn’t matter what type of drink you’re into, the place is just a must! Mumtaz Indian Takeaway
Charleston Ct, InvernessIt may look a little grubby and run down, might not pass every FSA check if it gets a on the spot check, but, the food is good, I ordered a king rib supper as it was one of the more recent complaints to see if it was as bad as it was made out to be.
It wasn't, the food was absolutely fine. There were other gripes I had but that's me things so I won't mark them for that, other than the food the staff member was a polite guy and the food options were, and exhausting arm long list, that said they did pull it off.
Decor is dated and the place could use gutting, it looks unhealthy. Other than that, good scran!

9 High St, InvernessCalled in for a quick pint of an afternoon. Not busy so the atmosphere was a bit lacking.
But the room itself was impressive. A set area has a pool table , darts and a door to an outdoor area.
Everything was clean and tidy and the barstaff were friendly and efficient.
I didn't eat here but the food I saw looked pretty good.
I would definitely visit again.

For mains I had the halibut which was superb, perfectly cooked and with some nice veg. A nice glass of Prosecco to go with it.
Was served by Nicola (I think) who was excellent and really helpful with good recommendations. Will be back again soon thank you.

Innes Bar
Shire, 61 Innes St, InvernessI was recently dining in the Innes bar and unfortunately my daughter became unwell and was sick at our table. The staff and management could not have been more proactive and helpful with dealing the situation whilst ensuring the rest of the party were still comfortable and enjoying their experience. It transpired that the manager had some old clothes which had belonged to her own children up the stairs and very kindly provided my daughter with a fresh change. This wasn't necessary nor expected but demonstrated the levels of compassion shown by the people running this establishment. The food was great and it's a brilliant pub, this should be a priority for people looking to go out for a meal or a drink in Inverness. Looking forward to my next return visit.

Miele's Gelateria Inverness
92 Church St, InvernessMiele's Gelateria in Inverness is dangerously good! The kind of place that makes you question every other ice cream you've ever eaten.
I tried the Bueno, Ferrero Rocher, and a cheeky salted caramel, all three were absolute winners! Super creamy, packed with proper mouth tingling flavour, and the portions are generous so you feel like you actually got your money’s worth. The shop is bright and welcoming, with a massive range of flavours that change regularly. Staff are super friendly and helpful! If you're wandering around Inverness and need something to cool you down (or cheer you up on a drizzly day), stop here. You’ll leave with a big stupid grin and probably sticky fingers. Best ice cream in the country! Hands down... Highly recommended, my waistline is already plotting a return visit!...

I saw they also have whiskey taste, but I didn’t have the chance to try. To flag, they don’t have food in here. Highly recommend, one of my favourite spots in Inverness.
