I have to base this on my visit at the time, whilst it did have a micro bar vibe to it, it felt run down and neglected and not a huge choice ales.

Am eclectic blend of Inverness' finest music officianados fill the cost little bar as ear-popping sounds pound from the stagelette. This weeny well-stocked music venue is hidden down a lane and would go unnoticed, but for the throng of smokers happily bantering outside.Well recommended! Take your earplugs.Wheelchair accessibility: No access up steep stairs.

Looking for a modern WOKE experience? Don't go there and leave us in peace.Kid-friendliness: Don't take your children, but well behaved shamans and dogs are welcome. A memory of the 70s and 80s may be required.

The tiniest but loudest gigs you've ever been to.
John Anaya
Great wee music venue, lovely staff.
Franklin Bidwell
A great local pub that is off the beaten path.

Inverness institution. Upstairs bar has nightly music.
I went to the market bar on Saturday afternoon with my 2 daughters.A drunk man kept coming up to our table, trying to touch my daughters hair and leg and attempted to sit down at our table.Staff and other patrons saw this happen and continued to chat with the man.I wouldn’t advise women to go to the Market Bar, we were picked out for harrassment as the only table of women, and everyone looked the other way. Avoid!!

Great service and crowd. Very local, and don't go here if you're afraid of getting in a conversation with a friendly stranger.

I've been away from Inverness for nearly 30 years, but when I go upstairs at the Market it's like I've never been away. Best bar in the town.
