As we did our reservation, no queue time was needed upon arrival. We were seated on the first floor. Serving within 15 minutes upon ordering. We ordered from the early evening menu. £19.95 per person for 1 starter and 1 main. Value for money. Our meal started from the bread and butter. Mediocre. 2 starsThen come the Scottish Gin. It was very refreshing and tasted wonderfully. 4 starsFor the starter, mushroom soup was nicely prepared. Fine and flavourful. 3 starsFor the other starter, Pickled Rollmop Herring was fantastic. We never tried this kind of fine taste before. The fish portion was unbelievably delicious. WOW. 5 starsFor the main, 28 day aged highland rump steak was out of this world. The steak was so nice and mouth-watering. The edge was a bit over-grilled and combined with the fat portion, wow, addictive and nonstop for us. It was so juicy and addictive. WOW. 5 starsFor the other main, mixed seafood Risotto was super delicious. We never tasted a Risotto with such a high standard, others from Italy. The rice was so flavourful, and seafood was so fresh. WOW. 5 starsEnding dessert, ice cream on chocolate tart, wad a great ending of such a romantic and fine dinner. 3 starsThe ambience was perfect. We particularly enjoyed the charcoal fire that occupied the main hall. Service was attentiveTotal bill for 2 persons dinner about £58. Value for money

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and lovely staff. Its fine dining and a two course meal with bread and butter cost me about £15. Dessert is additional and about £6. The food was tasty and pleasing to look at. The staff is very accommodating and do not rush you at all which I appreciated a lot as I eat slowly. Maybe the only downside is that its a busy place so it can get loud at peak time and you might not get a seating with a view. They have a sort of loyalty card too, didn't have to ask for it, which is nice if you live around the place.

The Mustard seed is a beautiful restaurant. Originally it was a church, which is why I might be called the Mustard Seed. The staff were lovely and could not have been more helpful. They have provision for disabled people, including a disabled toilet. Why only 2 stars. I had a steak and it was stringy and sadly unpleasant to eat.

Very good tuna and halibut but vegetables were overcooked and soggy. Waitress very sweet but will benefit from more knowledge about the menu. Lady clearing the table very nice and extremely efficient. Overall the restaurant has many good elements but they need to be brought together for a unified experience.

We were lucky enough to find this amazing place and grabbed a table for two on a very busy Friday night. The food was delicious, the view of the river was beautiful, the atmosphere was really nice and the service was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

Very good lunch menu at £16 for 2 courses was a bargain. Fish paté followed by a generous portion of delicious venison casserole. My waiter, Lily, was polite, helpful and efficient.

We were squeezed in for a walk in table Saturday before Christmas. Despite being busy, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and never made us feel rushed.I had the beetroot, pear, fig tart to start. Lovely flavor and pastry was perfectly crisp without being dry.We both had the seafood linguine for main. The seafood was so fresh, plenty of it and the sauce was very rich and creamy. All absolutely delicious and very much looking forward to going back.We ordered off the set christmas menu with 2 courses for £15, I can't remember the last time I had such good quality food for such a low price - exceptionally good value.Vegetarian options: Whilst there weren't loads of veggie options, it was nice to have a choice of something different for once. What was on offer was delicious.Plenty of option for pescatarian though

We ate lunch at the Mustard Seed on day one of our first trip to Inverness, largely as a result of the many good reviews here on Google. Being the holiday season they were very busy with reservations but were kind enough to find us a table. We chose from the three course Christmas set menu and each course was absolutely delicious. The interior design and ambiance are unique and charming as were the staff. Special shout out to our server, Hollie who was delightful.

Delicious food, highly recommend this place. Quick tip- do book a table in advance, it’s busy even on a weekday.

This was the best experience of our trip. We were comparing all other meals to the meals we had here. The best thing is we didn't have a bad meal for the whole eight days we were in Scotland. By far the meal with the most flavor was the Wild Mushroom Tortellini. The cheesecake was some of the best I ever had.

Lovely location on the bank of the iconic river Ness. Great food is efficiently served by friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The exterior was really historical because it used to be an old church. We didn't make a reservation but because it was still early before dinner they accommodate us. We opted for the early evening course meal of roasted breast of chicken and pan fried pork loin, with the starters of piri piri marinated prawns and crispy chicken tenderloins. The food were delicious.

Lunch at The Mustard Seed was fantastic! It's their attention to details, like lemon slice in our tap water and splitting our one large wine order into both our wine glasses, giving us best available seat at the time of our reservation, and it was a joy to observe the team of service leaders working in tandem to clear & set up a table for 4 in such a synchronously flow it would have taken years of working well today to achieve such a beautiful state of flow :-) Food was divine and we highly recommend eating here!PS: thank you very much to the dear lady whom take care of our table, you totally made our day" we feel so comfortable" not been discriminate nor judge in anyway as a foreigner in town. Also super pleased to know you have committed 15 years to Mustard Seed, the owner is so blessed to have you in the team. Cheers

Wonderful restaurant, with outstanding food and service. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and executed perfectly. We loved everything; started with the mussels, had 2 mains with fish and a pannacota and crème brûlée. It was a perfect evening and best total meal we ever had in Scotland so far.
