"The waterfront" in Inverness. A restaurant you want to return to! Deliciously prepared wild salmon, pleasant service and wishes for a wonderful holiday from the chef, who came out to us from the kitchen, left a pleasant aftertaste from the visit to the capital of the Highlands, Inverness. Don't forget to reserve a table in advance!

Very nice restaurant. Solid good food. We had an Angus burger, mussels and garlic shrimp. We can definitely recommend it?

Really good food at a very reasonable price. The waterfront has a good menu at a reasonable price and I found the food to be delicious and good quality. Highly recommended.

A nice place in winter trading (so difficult), food ok, disappointing cask ale (Deuchers), hazy (not racked properly, it wasn't a protein haze), too cold, not conditioned properly. It wouldn't score highly if I was inspecting for a cask marque. They told me they don't do much cask (it is winter after all) and reckoned 3 weeks life on it which of course is ridiculous to expect a decent drink such as Deuchers over that period from one cask.In a former life I had a good beer guide entry for many years, held CAMRA regional pub of the year and many other awards.

Walking along the River Ness on a cold and snowy evening with time to kill waiting for our train, we were drawn to the cosy look of The Waterfront. What a bonus it was when the meal turned out to be the best we had had all week eating out in several locations in Scotland, and what’s more, the best value! I had the chicken sizzler which was £9.99 and everything about it was perfect. Applause for the chef and also for the friendly staff who looked after us so well!
