Beautiful restaurant serving beautiful delicious food. I would have given this rating 5 stars if it weren’t for the several mis-steps on the service. We ordered a bottle of wine and the server dripped wine on the table twice. We also asked about the wine and there was hesitation, signaling to us that he did. It know much about wine and could not give us an educated recommendation. One of the scallops too did not smell right and we did not eat it. We brought it to the server’s attention but he said that’s the way they are, even though the others were not as fishy smelling as that ONE. The onion tart too had such a thin layer of pastry that it appeared to be just a balsamic roasted half shallot. On the positives… the maitre d’ was very engaging and warm and more than made up for the other servers. The cod was absolutely delicious and cooked just right. The fish was meaty, moist, and the sauce divine. The lamb too was great… flavorful and tender. We walked away a bit disappointed because we were celebrating our friend’s 60th birthday. The question I ask myself every time we go fine dining…. “Would I go back”. The answer would be maybe, since there were some standout dishes… but I would recommend elevating the service a bit more for what people would expect from this beautiful restaurant.

Amazing afternoon tea (our first British experience)! The team is great. There was an issue with our booking but the restaurant manager fixed it right away, she was amazing. We felt look after and had a warm welcome. We will be back for sure if we come back to Inverness.

We had a very enjoyable Afternoon Tea ( birthday gift from family). The veggie option, which we had ordered was excellent, as was the Champagne. However, a very limited selection of teas ( for a 5* star establishment) and our chosen selection of Darjeeling was not available.

We had booked a large party of thirteen for a family dinner the evening before a funeral and had hoped this evening would be an opportunity to celebrate the life of the family matriarch. Instead we were distracted by the poor service and unexpected cost. Whilst our young waiting staff were lovely we felt largely ignored. We waited an hour for a bottle of wine the order for which had gone to the bar but been missed by the bar staff. During that time not one member of the team came and asked us if we had everything we needed or noticed that the wine was missing. We waited longer than that for our starters and during that wait were given dessert menus as "the chef was leaving at 9", but at no point did either the waiters, or more senior staff who seemed to be swanning about and deliberately ignoring us, come to explain why we had been waiting so long for even our main courses. I think we eventually received our starters so 75/80 minutes after we were seated! This is not really acceptable for a high end restaurant. Two of our party ordered ribeye steak, which was not part of the A La Carte menu, but we're not advised that the effective supplement for this was +£40 per steak, as they were both charge full a la carte menu price as well. This should have been very clearly advised to them as I'm sure had thru realised they would not have had the steak. Actually quite shocking! Ultimately once service had begun we received our starters, mains and desserts in good order and the food for the most part was delightful. Yet we still felt somewhat ignored. Appreciating that our waiters were young and perhaps in training they should be encouraged to interact more fully with customers, as opportunities for additional drinks sales were surely missed. The two members of our party who were paying both expressed their annoyance at having such shoddy service and we're advised that we had been given a discount as way of recompense, however when we came to check the bill it appeared we had not and this is when we also discovered the additional £40+ charge for the ribeye steaks and also a gratuity had been added to the bill without being advised, and we would certainly have not given a tip for the generally very poor service we received. We feel we were cheated out of a very good dining experience because of these factors as the menu was beautifully presented and well cooked. I would hope that a refund or offer or discount voucher for future use would be forthcoming as compensation for the sour taste that has been left in all of our mouths.May I also suggest that a preorder be taken for parties of our size.

Hotel that I recommend. As well as its restaurant!

Everything was excellent and nice to know the food was all made in house.Parking: Parking was good the time we were there but whether it would be as good in the evening -there are numerous roadworks in the area so where would one go?

Food was amazing and service was exceptional.Only small negative I’d note would be no onsite parking except for guests who are staying. A pre-warning of this at the time of booking would be beneficial.

First time staying and eating at Ness Walk. Outstanding welcome, service and food. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to all.Parking: Enough paid parking for a full hotel of guests. The only issue is around EV charging spaces being blocked by ICE cars. Unfortunate, but understandable due to the layout of the spaces. Didn’t affect us personally but was noted.

Absolutely first-class, we were made to feel special from the moment we arrived. The staff were polite and attentive, our Afternoon Teas were lovely and the facilities in the restaurant were excellent. It's the tiny things which count and the hotel got it spot-on - my wife is a wheelchair-user and we were allocated a space on the hard-standing closest to the door

Hotel was overall great and staff were fantastic. Breakfast really great and evening meal was decent if pricey. Room was very comfortable and spacious. The bar area seemed a little confused in what it's trying to be and it would perhaps have been better if it had a more unified and and cosy feel without a giant television for example. Would recommend the hotel though - very pleasant stay.
