Visited for a couple of drinks. Did not try the food though it looked and smelt nice coming out of the kitchen. Very Friendly staff. Comfortable pub, just like we like. The three of us will be back

Went for dinner for the first time in a year or so as moved back to the area, its a great pub lots of seating the food and drinks are good and a decent price staff are allways friendly would reccomend this place to any one in the area so under rated.

We were here for my birthday dinner booked a table everything was perfect, payed for dinner in cash went back up and ordered some drinks 2 more times paid in cash. have a discount and then went to buy more food and drinks and told us that we can’t pay in cash for drinks and food could only pay buy card. also got wrong food so went to swap/exchange and had a whole problem, said it had been refunded to my account but i hadn’t even gave them back my card. I took about 20 mins at the bar sorting this, all I wanted to do was swap nachos for tacos! Overall the start of the night was great, but ended up with us leaving very disappointed. We won’t be back.
Good casual/ pub food, enjoyed fish and chips, and mac n cheese, dog friendly staff were great! Great easy evening not too busy

My husband and I popped in to the Carrick yesterday for dinner. I had the scampi and my husband had the fish. Service was quick and the serving staff were very efficient, pleasant and helpful. For the sake of clarity I am an irregular customer and only pop in occasionally. Dinner was served quickly and it was fresh and tasty. My scampi had about 8/11 pieces and it was accompanied by garden peas and chips both of which I enjoyed. My husband’s fish was large and cooked to perfection. He always picks the fish as it is consistently good. Prices are reasonable for what you get. It is neither cheap nor expensive. With reference to a previous post we have always found the manager Cat to be extremely pleasant, caring and consiencious. Nothing is generally too much trouble for her. The allegations made sound to be totally out of character.

The staff in the carrick are lovely ……. But the manager in the other hand is very rude and short and seems like she can’t be bothered to serve customers. Making passing comments that can be heard waiting in line around other customers. Was told we ‘ weren’t going to be accommodated ‘ even though the restaurant was dead ( no wonder ) and we had already booked the table. It’s mostly a friendly atmosphere when the manager isn’t glaring and making passing comments. I think this restaurant has great potential it has lovely food but is slightly let down by the customer service experience………
