So glad we stumbled upon Janns cakes when driving through Dunvegan! We had the casserole, coffees & of course had to try the baked goods- the Lemon cake was to die for!!! Best Lemon cake I’ve ever had. We also had the blueberry lemon cake which was also equally delicious! We also had to sample the chocolate made with honey and whisky.. everything we tasted was worth the calories! I love supporting local businesses, especially when the owners are so friendly and welcoming. Next trip out to Skye, we will be returning to this little gem!

Wonderful little place with a surprisingly large selection of baked goods, chocolates, coffee, and hot food.We decided on the venison casserole which was delicious and tender. We also got a cookie and a caramel chocolate frangipane tart type thing with fresh cream. Both were amazing.I assume we spoke to the owners whilst there and they were both very friendly and helpful. I would recommend stopping in! We are definitely going to pop back for some Jamaican curry. ☺️

We drove by on 1 January 2024 @16:00 by our surprise this lovely place was open.Nothing else is open on the Isle of Skye.And what a great welcome you get when you go inside by the couple working here.we ordered 1 lamb Jamaican curry delicious , and we had a coconut cake and a little whiskey flavoured truffle and two coffees and the coffee was just what we needed after our walks and drives.definitely will be back when we are on Skye ?

Hidden gem in Dunvegan! Amazing service, super friendly and service minded. Very impressed by everything - had homemade soup and freshly baked bread, which we enjoyed by the water. Also got fudge and truffles, and homemade chocolate, which we all agree is some of the best we have ever had! Amazing!! Jann & co - thank you!

Delicious hand made cakes, tarts and pies. The store has restricted business hours, definitely check the days and good before you stop. We enjoyed the Bakewell tart (most delicious I've ever had) with hand whipped cream. It's run by a cute couple, eating in is not an option. This is a must stop on your way to Dunvegan , Neist Point or Coral beach.

If you are anywhere near Dunvegan, you need to stop at this amazing little shop. Great sandwiches but the pastries are to die for. Even if you’re not hungry, stop in and look at the beautiful creations they’ve made. Such a lovely surprise in an out of the way place!

Run by a lovely pair who clearly pour love and care into their hand-made cakes. I recommend stopping by here for some of their delicious cakes. They had a brilliant selection, with organic options too. The price reflects the quality, so dont let that put you off. The cherry bakewell tart was awesome! Brillaint bakery, would thoroughly recommend.

Went to get a coffee and cake to take back to campsite (takeway only). Shop has rule about no more than 4 people inside, so I waited outside a good 10 mins. Got inside with another guy I’d got speaking to in the queue. We were wondering how they made a profit if service was so slow. We got in, and saw prices £6.50 for a slice of Bakewell, for example (to takeaway remember). I’d waited so long that I stuck with it. Saw that there was no sense of urgency in service AT ALL despite long queue. It’s good to be laid back, but still. I and the other guy I was with cut our losses and reduced the queue size by 2. Gave it 2 stars, because the cakes looked nice - but good luck getting your hands on one!

Jann’s Cake shop is absolutly fabulous. We ordered cake, soup and cream teas for two. Everything was amaizing, the cream teas were the best we had in years. Yes, it takes 15-20 minutes to order, but it was worth the wait!! All the food is produced with care, very tastefull and large portions. If we visit Dunvegan again, we’ll go back!

Spent a week earlier this year exploring Skye and other areas of Scotland. The sandwich and cake I got from here was the best food I'd had the whole trip, it could probably be the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I live far away from Skye but If I ever return I'd make the effort to come back to this place, the owners were also lovely.

Lovely shop with amazing selection of cakes and handmade sweets. It was really hard to decide what to choose but I finally decided on a piece of coconut, cherry and chocolate cake. It was amazing and the piece so generous I ate it in thirds and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. If I return to Skye I’d go back for more cake and would love to try the curry as I’m sure it would be excellent. What a lovely place.
