Our visit to the castle was very interesting if a little over priced for entry. We were looking forward to scones, jam and cream from the Tables cafe. The scones were nice but the actual cafe was a major disappointment. Having come from a castle with 800 years of continuous family line, you’d think there would be an effort made to be hospitable and, at the least, have traditional Scottish music! Blaring I’m not sure what music, having to line up for hot drinks (a pot of tea for the cream tea…) then line up separately for the scones and cream (in a plastic container). It’s barn-like set out reminded me of a food hall and I think that’s the impression it was trying to give. I was told the jam was over at the side - also in plastic - but at least the knife was biodegradable. All in all, had I realised I would have spent the money somewhere with atmosphere, comfort and tradition.

Cozy ambience, the staff is very sweet as well, they should keep their name tags visible to be able to call them by their name, would be nicer that way rather than too formalFood was alrightFaith is best

Quite nice, especially by the standards of cafe-associated-with-tourist-stop. Looked possible for a vegan to eat a full meal (main, soup, and dessert) if desired.

Good service and good food! The venison stew was a delicious dish!

The haggis potato was very tasty and the highlight of our lunch. The quiches were nice, but the egg was closer to a custard than I like. The tuna sandwich was quite bad. More mayonnaise and butter than tuna, which could barely be tasted. The coffee was quite mediocre and the staff appeared too rushed to be really pleasant and welcoming.I’d come again, but I’d be selective of the order.

Came in just after four o’clock. No food left. Staff sat on the floor behind the counter giggling, only one bothered to stand up to serve. Some squashed tea cakes and caramel wafers was all that was left in the cabinet . They had started to melt so ythe fridge is clearly not working properly. We went back up to purchase crisps and the staff sat on the floor asked if they could help - this time they didn't even bother to get up!Floors and tables filthy! The staff brought over a table number which was covered in milkshake and when pointed out to her she sprayed it and left it on a table.Overall shocking customer service and not what is expected on out island we call home!

Stupid service. Had to wait 12 minutex for the guy making coffee as he lrepaired teo other cups of coffee. The Americano was as thin as water.

Broken coffee machine, no lunch sold after 3 o'clock despite kitchen being staffed, and a very long line of hungry guests on a rainy day. Stressed staff. Should have brought own lunch.

Fairly basic cafeteria at the Dunvegan castle. By early afternoon on a weekday they’d run out of pretty much everything except cheese and onion sandwiches and scones. But there was coffee and the staff were friendly.

Avoid the very dry packaged sandwiches without dates on packs.

We experienced a diverse level of service when we stopped here for a short pit stop. The two young ladies behind the counter seemed to have both lost the power of speech. There was no greeting, no " what can we get you ?", not even a smile. Just a blank stare. Then no response when we placed our order. My wife asked about non-lactose milk options, which resulted n a carton of oak milk being held up. Charming. They did manage to say a word or two - but mainly to each otherIn contrast the two guys serving, one resplendent in traditional Scottish gear, were like our best buddies. Full of enthusiasm and warmth, possibly compensating for the coldnest of their female colleagues, but great to see. We did, in the end, feel welcome. We just had coffee and cake which was excellent. It is worth going just to witness the contrast - and to have cake of course.

Lovely cafe, right adjacent to entrance to Dunvegan Castle and gardens, and very convenient. The food was very good with a nice selection. The room is large and has comfortable seating. The staff were friendly and efficient and you can’t beat a place with a burly guy in a kilt serving you with a friendly smile.

Not much choice for lunch, but plenty of cakes and hot drinks. Had the house special venison stew which came with bread but no butter. Atmosphere was pretty dark and grimy, but staff friendly and toilets clean.

Great place for a coffee. It's very easy to get parking, plenty of spaces.
